I guess that I am the odd one out, I see two victims here. We don't know the situation or story of the woman involved. No judgment from me. But, this type of occurrence is not unusual, I am sure that we will be seeing more and more of these.
Is the "solution" prison for 20 years or more for this young gal?
I thought a good deal about your post before replying. I would have sympathy for her if she left him at a shopping centre, a public place, somewhere he'd be found quite quickly, she could've been heavily disguised and no vehicle to detect. No matter her feelings towards the baby she can still value life.
It's shocking because most people value life and for some reason, Avila doesn't. It's not as rare as we'd like it to be, sadly. The newborn is seen as a thing, an object to discard, a problem to be solved in a drastic manner. The age of the person usually doesn't factor into it, it's carried out by all ages across the board.
If AA believes the baby is her property and she can do with it what she likes, well, that's distorted thinking which needs addressing. The baby is a separate entity and deserves life no matter what she's been taught or shown.
Luckily, the little boy survived and as a result, AA will probably receive a low sentence, imo. We do have compassion for single young mothers in present times, even if it doesn't appear so when these stories first break. I'm sure the lawyer will paint a picture of the accused as a victim, she'll be the main focus and little if anything will be said about the baby.
There's CCTV, it's not wild guesswork about the disappearance of a baby, AA's action was recorded as she attempted to rid herself and this planet, of a life. If society didn't react in a horrified manner, I'd be concerned about the course we're taking. Children were once not valued, are we to return to those times?
If the msm quote is correct, her mother's statement is worrying, throwing a baby into a dumpster is a mistake?
AA didn't take a wrong turn at an intersection, she chose to end a life, her mother minimizing her daughter's actions is a red flag. In saying all that, her words may have been deliberately misconstrued by a reporter, therefore my response is only to the article.
