I don't even know what the he77 the best course of action would be in this type of scenario. With a ground shooter flee or take cover as best as you can. Shooter from above at a distance......pray!

Does "13" signify something specific? I haven't heard of "13" tattoos.

I see it what looks like a "13" on the front of his neck. Not sure it really is a tattoo??

Can mean several things, according to the internet. For some it means "making my own luck" or similar, saying there's no such thing as bad luck, just what you make of yourself. Also some reference to drugs, gangs.

I don't think it's a tattoo, but this is what I was talking about:

It’s a tradition for tattooists to spend the day doling out little tattoos for the low price of $13.
While many people still consider the day to be an unlucky one, tattooists, as they often do, flip the bird to conventional thought and think of the day as a holiday. To celebrate, artists will draw up special flash sheets for the day with each potential tattoo having the number 13 within the design.

IMO it's a shadow from neck folds. Older folks have looser skin in the neck area.

I thought that at first, too, but on looking closer, it really does look like the number 13.

He does. He seems just flabbergasted and shocked and pissed.

Did i hear him say they were proud of dad being a bank robber?

I wonder if sometimes (not meaning the brother), some of this is genetic. Like the bad seed. It hits some kids but not others, if there's some sort of trigger?

I'm just grasping for answers here.

If you study some of the research on psychopaths there are theories that these people have certain areas of the brain that are underdeveloped. Smaller frontal lobes that control executive function (decision making). Could this son have inherited that same brain deficit? I'd be really concerned if I were a sibling of Paddock.
Also paddock's jobs of accountant, auditor tell me he was not strong in emotional areas but dealt in things like numbers, mechanical things- also related to brain development. Still wonder what the other siblings did for a living?

Remember, at that point of his life his brother wasn't seeing him regularly. People will tend to act normally around family members, it doesn't mean they don't have some radical agenda. I don't see any reason for the brother to hide anything at this point. He was open about his father's past.

I believe his brother said he was 57? So, he would have been a toddler in 1960, and 7 years younger than his brother. Age gap could easily be why they are not particularly close as he mentioned.

I don't think the brother is necessarily trying to hide anything but also his family story is becoming world news. I read his defensiveness as in part due to devasting shock, and also because not everyone's father was on the FBI's most wanted list. Depending on who knew, no doubt this impacts the rest of the family in a big way on several fronts.

I feel very sad for the mom in her 90's who just may not recover. The families of mass murderers live with the unspeakable truth and connection for the rest of their lives.

Thats bizarre. I never knew it took that long. What were people doing, lining up to be shot? One would think that after the first couple people were shot no one but LE would be roaming around the area.

I worded that incorrectly, Whitman killed 14, in 96 minutes. I just meant if the tables were turned and Paddock had the same amount of time as Whitman, it is unimaginable how many he could have murdered. Whitman was a former Marine Sharpshooter so I guess he was able to target folks from a distance.

Did the perp think the woman would get blamed?

From the pics seen so far, many victims appear to be young, females - the perp apparently went to a number of concerts and liked country music, did he experience frequent rejection at those gatherings?
speculation, imo.

Police said Paddock had used Ms Danley's ID documents to check into the hotel, which initially led to speculation that she was in the hotel at the time of the attack.

A Hyundai Tucson vehicle understood to be owned by Ms Danley was also found by police.

Her LinkedIn profile said she was a "gambling and casino professional" who lived in Reno, Nevada.

Between 2010 and 2013 she worked as a "hostess" for the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. There is no listing for her employment since that date

Family members said that Paddock spent much of his retirement in recent years frequenting hotels in Las Vegas. They said he listened to country music and went to concerts at Vegas hotels, similar to the one Sunday night where he opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers.

It does appear killer wanted to drag this woman into his mess.

I get really sad for the families of these killers, too. I bet many of them never dream of waking up to news like this, and media knocking down their doors while they are trying to come to terms with what has happened. I cannot fathom. This is a horrible tragedy for so many people.

.

I do wonder if numerological aspects is a piece of the puzzle. Did he choose a certain floor, room numbers, date of concert for certain meaning? Or was it random? Gamblers and accountants think and visualize in numbers. Codes have numerical equalivents. Things like that.

It looks like a tat for sure in this snip!

Prayers to all affected. Such a tragedy. I'm off to decompress for a bit. Stay safe everyone.
