It kinda sounds like she may have really known nothing.

I think most of us know that most people would not be ok if one started talking about shooting down on 22000 strangers.

My thing with her is to learn more about him not what he did although they are totally connected. moo

and yeh his real net worth would be helpful in attempting to understand what happened the other night moo

She lived in America, where gun ownership is a protected right. Seriously - what could she have done?

He had an extremely large amount more than the norm but she probably was submissive as he was probably taking good care of her with his millions so she kept quiet.

I know a lot of people are wondering how he was able to check into a room using the girlfriends name/card, etc... I work at a hotel and depending on the status (tier) of the guest, they do not have to show ID or credit card (it's a perk). Now... if I see the reservation in a man's name and a woman is checking in... if her name is not added as a guest, I contact the person who made the reservation. IF the woman is added as a guest... I always check the ID. I don't care what tier they are. It's for the guest who made the reservations safety. If they want to complain... complain.

I won't go into the "digital" stuff that some hotels are using (I am not that informed), but we'll be going digital soon... which should be interesting. It appears a guest would not have to even come to the front desk to check in at all. I don't know if Mandalay Bay is digital or not?

Left him move in with her family.

Being vague, my boss has a lot of guns, especially considering we live in a blue state. ALL are legal. What is his wife going to do? Report him bc he legally owns guns and ammo? Hindsight is 20/20 IMO

But he had more then the normal. I know gun collectors and Paddock had more. He had enough to start a war. Don't MD from Philippines know about the amount of arsenal he was stockpiling? Sheesh

Yep. Scary as Hell.

Still totally legal. He broke no laws having that arsenal. And no background checks in NV.

It's the laws need changing, IMO.

It's really not THAT crazy though and like others have said, it isn't illegal. Who would she have told even if she did know? I mean, it's crazy to me but I don't own any guns, so there are plenty of people in the country that think I'm the crazy one. An article from the Guardian based on a study of gun ownership in the US says that 7.7 million Americans own half of the countries guns- between 8 and 140, for an average of 17 a piece. I'm having trouble linking the article from my app but I'll try to link from my computer.

Point being, there are a lot of people in the US who unfortunately own perfectly legal arsenals of guns, which is a really big problem IMO. There should be some kind of flag if someone purchases 33 firearms in a year- that's where a national registry would help.

I think it's totally unfair for people to blame her when as far as we know she did nothing wrong, and it's not like she could call the police and they'd take away his guns. You're right - it's not her fault; it's the law.

Good Evening Everyone,

This thread is starting to go off the rails. I will not allow this to happen.

Do not discuss anything but the tragedy in Las Vegas and all that is connected to the shooting.

If people start insulting each other I will give you a long time out or a lifetime ban.

This is very easy to do so understand what I am about to tell you: DO NOT GET PERSONAL!!!!!!

What does getting personal have to do with the shooting in Vegas?

Not one single person cares what you think of another poster's opinion and therefore you are making this thread about YOU!!

I am asking nicely.

Keep on topic and don't get personal.

We have enough anger in the world. Let's leave it at the door and have a civil discussion, shall we?

You have reasonably bright women married/dating monsters all the time. They can be perfectly normal to their spouses/girlfriends, but be serial killers/rapists at the same time. I think we all think we'd be able to see the "signs", but maybe we wouldn't? Some criminals are just that good.

The sheriff commented that he would have had to be a “super hero” to pull off his plan. My thoughts are he intended to blow up the fuel tanks forcing law enforcement in that direction as well as assisting the injured and didn’t anticipate that security would be at his door within 12 minutes.

I’m still interested in the possible suggestion of an accomplice. It could account for him having more guns than he could ever use in the room as well as two shooting areas. My only issue with that is logistically, how would an accomplice have escaped?

I honestly do not think Marilou had anything to do with it. She was his cover up and none the wiser. From previous reports she travelled a lot so she probably wasn’t with him a lot of the time to know when he was buying guns.

This might be it.

America's passion for guns: ownership and violence by the numbers

88 guns for every 100 people
This is the gun ownership rate in the United States, the highest by far in the world, according to the UN office on drugs and crime through its annual crime survey for 2012. The No 2 country, Yemen, has 54.8 per 100 people.

An estimated 3% of American adults own 50% of the country's civilian guns

Left him move in with her family.

So because our laws favor mass shooters, she is supposed to do WHAT now?

The NRA and the Constitution protect people who want to own an arsenal. With no background checks. In many states.

Cool!

Not her fault America is the ultimate killing field.

His stay at the Mandalay Bay was comped for the time he was there. He had used her players card. It was not an actual credit card. They were well known and seen together frequently there so the staff probably thought nothing of it.

“He was a math guy,” Eric Paddock, his youngest brother, said. “He could tell you off the top of his head what the odds were down to a tenth of a percent on whatever machine he was playing. He studied it like it was a Ph.D. thing. It was not silly gambling. It was work.”

In May, Mr. Paddock invited his brother Eric and his nephew, who is in his 20s, to a weekend at Wynn, where he had achieved “Chairman’s Club” status, his brother said. They feasted on expensive sushi and saw a show. Mr. Paddock said his brother had seen it so many times that he noticed that one of the performers was an alternate.

Yes this is it, thank you so much! For being a millennial I can be really bad linking and sharing things between apps on my phone. The Guardian has done a lot of good research and reporting on gun ownership in America, and their coverage of the Las Vegas shooting in real time over the past two days was really good, for anyone who is interested

Is that how many people were there? I hadn't realized it was such a large concert! It's a miracle there wasn't even more lives loss.

No one is blaming her at all. It's just bizarre people don't pay much attention until later after they go on a massacre like SB terrorist living with the mom, sandy hook killings, Adams Lanza mom took him shooting practice and the wife of Orlando shooter.

At this point no one knows much about anything why he did it and if anyone else involved or knew about it.

We learned that he carried 6 figure tabs at the casinos he frequented and always paid them off.
