I won't bring it here, but there's some pretty bad CT going on out in the www about the union and the SG. Just ridiculous, deeply offensive and harmful. It's probably just a matter of time before it's brought up here, so perhaps we should head it off before it does.

There is, but not with respect to licensing requirements. In actuality, you need to have two permits to work as a security guard in a casino within Las Vegas. One is the state PI card that all security guards in NV have to have. The other is a card issued by LVMPD.

I wonder if FBI has investigated this possiblity that a competing casino town, like Reno, would benefit by shutting down
tourism in Vegas due to fear? Seems likely to at least hurt LV in the near future.
Then my thoughts go to shooter's and gf's connections to Reno. She worked there at major casino (interestingly owned by Iranian/Americans) and he bought property there so he apparently spent some time there.
Just a thought- what say ye?

There was a video about 10 minutes Long. Filmed by someone who keeps yelling “heads down, run” etc. I don’t have the link handy (currently at work). However, you can see a bullet or more than 1 hitting the tarp over the fence surrounding the concert. Also, other personal videos posted you can hear bullets hitting the metal objects they are hiding behind.

How is this not perpetuating conspiracy theories? Anytime someone asks "who would benefit from a tragedy" they are directly implying there were hidden forces at work orchestrating it, rather than a man who had a grudge against humans. JMO.

It goes beyond him, and to the fact that MGM may have been hiring employees that are not licensed and certified to provide the security they're supposed to be providing. That's a huge issue.

ETA: I think we both know how this line of CT questioning is being used out in underground social media to smear this man's reputation in the worst way. Also trying to do the same to the labor union. Disgusting and un-American.

I believe anything is possible..
When I go down the road of wondering whether he was contracted to carry out the mass shooting by a third party , I wonder about things like that. I automatically just considered competing businesses in LV, entities that hate MGM.. things like that.
But theres a helluva lot of research needed and its very hard work.

It could have been the action of a man with a grudge against humanity but we are not privy to that information either.
We simply do not know..

The girl that posted it had no idea it was fake. None of us did.
We cleaned it up as best we could when we discovered it and reported ourselves.

Let's not forget Sheriff Lombardo is an elected politician. We're about to start his re-election year, and I imagine this is very much on his mind.

With Gillespie and former Sheriff Bill Young supporting him, Lombardo benefited from an almost 2-to-1 fundraising advantage. A large portion of his financial support came from the casino industry, which has historically given money to the outgoing sheriff’s hand-picked candidate. And that candidate almost always wins.​

Well, I considered competing LV casinos but the impact of this massacre would have direct fallout for other LV businesses. People would stay away from LV. But a competing town, to me, is more logical.

Story has completely fallen off drudge? Such bizarre coverage of this thing. All the questions we're wondering about aside, scary and sad that we are now so desensitized to these types of incidents as a nation that it can be forgotten so quickly by us.

Its always like that when big events of mass horror occur.. Ride it as best we can and as my father used to say 'try to be always fair rather than occasionally brilliant'
I think we're doing okay, listening to each other with open minds for the most part.. It could be a helluva lot worse.. usually warring camps form.. a diversion from the horror that has occurred and a vehicle for the rage with targets thrown in for free..

Conspiracy theory. Referring to some of the rumors on the internet that are way out there and potentially harmful to innocent people. Can't figure out why some of them are zeroing in on the poor security guard. JMO Stephen Paddock killed these people, no one else. I trust what the FBI is saying in this case. I'm content to let them finish their investigation.
