I think it's less that he's not giving interviews, and more that he showed up to give an interview, was working with the union president, the union president turns around, and dude is gone. And it hasn't been made clear if anyone really knows where he is or not. If he was like "Look dudes, this is way too much for me, I gotta go" it would be a whole lot less weird.

A regular person not used to giving interviews could be easily intimidated seeing all the media and all the cameras. Assuming it happened.

I'm sure it did look like Swiss cheese in the area he shot through. Have you ever shot a gun? I have. Unless my target is throughout the entire door, I'm not going to shoot out the entire door. Have you ever seen a movie where people are shooting automatic weapons? They brace the weapon, at the waist or on the shoulder, and they may swing side to side, but they aren't swinging the gun up and down unless they have targets up above and below

I have shot weapons before, including automatic ones. Fortunately, I have never shot a weapon in a combat type situation. It is my understanding, however, that shooting weapons in combat is far different than shooting paper targets.

When confronted by the security guard, SP was probably in "combat mode". In combat, accuracy shown towards paper targets can deteriorate (stress, adrenaline) and a even some well trained, mentally prepared people can quickly end up firing wildly and spray targets up, down and sideways- then back up again.

In the end, SP could well have been spraying the entire door and not even realizing it.

Good questions. Local tv news may have provided a bit more info, not sure. Eric initially said he met w/ LE and LE went from his interview to go interview his mother w/ Eric accompanying. Same day. Eric said she lives 'down the road'. My guess is she's in assisted living or nursing home. Mom has NO property listed
in her name in the county. The day Eric was flying out to LV to handle his brother's body, he gave another interview
and stated they were setting up a trust for brother's assets, Mom would be trustee, and he was given POA, and they would use brother's assets to help victims.

Agree totally with this! At this point, with all the weirdness we have seen, I really want to make sure J. C. is alive, safe, and acting on his own volition... My hinky meter has gone off so many times that it has now just overheated, fell off the wall, and it is sitting in the middle of my floor shooting out smoke signals that keep saying 200...

Why are they not stepping up and taking responsibility or at least answering questions?
I assume they all know what happened by now?

I was on twitter earlier and I started searching for the shooter and I realised we have all been completely diverted from pursuing the alleged shooter..
I thought it was strange..
JC gets pushed into the spotlight and the alleged shooter relegated..
This is not okay..
It feels as though we are being collectively manipulated..

I doubt it. He was a full time employee of the Mandalay Bay casino, and not say, a subcontractor to a subcontractor.

Sure, Campos could be illegal. Then again, he might be descended from a family that has resided in California / Nevada since before they were U.S. states. Likewise, Campos may, or may not speak Spanish or have ever been to say, Mexico. Likewise, he might not even self identify as Hispanic as many Filipinos have Spanish names.

In short, it is hard to speculate about his legal status based solely on his name.

He's 25, I think. So theoretically I suppose he could have been with them 7 years max.
