Does it seem like no one really cares about dead children? The judicial process puts these on low priority. And it is not often a death penalty, usually a plea deal, shrug, guy gets out in 5 years. I wonder if this loser has been in prison before?

A man charged with murder in the death of a 3-year-old boy refused to appear in court Friday.

Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melanie Tobiasson ordered 40-year-old Joshua Oxford to be brought to court next week “by any means necessary.”

Deputy Public Defender Scott Coffee, who represents Oxford, suggested that his client did not leave the jail for court Friday morning because of media attention on the case.

After the hearing, Coffee said he met with Oxford, who reported not feeling well and that he was “overwhelmed by the entire situation, including the media.”

Can you believe this! Overwhelmed! They should have dragged him in there!

I usually don't follow children's case too closely for this very reason. This...this right here enrages me and totally breaks my heart. WHAT is happening to people? How could two mothers be here when this is happening to this beautiful baby and stand by and do nothing? I think there is one more person that needs to be in jail.

Yep. IMO she said enough to msm to convince me that she saw plenty of abuse prior to Daniel's murder but did nothing to stop it.

Oxford's mother, Kathy Evans said she was a witness to some of the abuse. I don't believe she didn't see any prior physical marks (bruises) on him; according to reports Daniel was being abused by Oxford and Smith for a while so this was no one off incident. Both said Daniel "had a bad attitude and had been disrespectful' to them, the report noted.

(Daniel) was in trouble for something before (I got there). I don’t know what it was," she said. "He was standing in the corner when I got there."

"Daniel was standing up he wanted to lay down and Josh told him: ‘No, you’re being punished.’'

She said when Daniel laid down, Oxford hit him.

“He swatted him because he wouldn’t stand up.” “I told him, 'Just leave [Daniel] alone. Just let him lay there.'”

“I never saw any bruises on him. I never saw anything. I didn’t see bruises," she said.

Evans said she was not at the home when hot water was allegedly poured on Daniel.

IMO there's no way Oxford's mother didn't know and nothing she's said in msm indicates she was afraid to say anything or report her son and Daniel's mother. I doubt we'll see charges brought against her though; the prosecution probably will need her as a witness. MOO.
