Poor sweet little girl. To take your anger and resentment over some guy out on a precious child... there is no excuse for that! And to think what Jade's last moments were like... someone she loved and trusted is the last face she sees and the one inflicting such terrible pain on her.

I hate to type this, but those razor blades.... finding bloody clothes that were Jade's.... OMG, she killed that child with those razor blades!

I thought that same thing right before I fell asleep... turns my stomach what little Jade was put through...

While I expected this ending, there was a small part of me that hoped Jade had been dropped off at someone's house before Stokes headed to the casino.

At times like this, I feel so helpless to do anything to keep our innocent children safe.

God bless you, Jade.
 
As soon as I found out yesterday about this case and about BS harming a person the same night as Jade's disappearance, I knew this wasn't going to end good. I am saddened that to know that my instincts were right.

RIP Jade. I hope you are playing in heaven with all the other angels that were taken from us too soon. Back at home we'll make sure that you get the justice you deserve to end the freedom of a monster who did this to you.

Coroner will probably officially ID Jade today. But sources told me Thursday that it's her -- and they have evidence against Stokes.

I thought the same thing (about the razor blades being used) as soon as I read the article. Poor innocent, defenseless baby. Tragic. :tears:

(CBS/AP) NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Nevada police expect to know Friday whether a body found in an undeveloped housing tract can be positively identified as missing 10-year-old Jade Morris.

Authorities couldn't immediately confirm that the body was Jade when it was discovered Thursday, Las Vegas police homicide Capt. Chris Jones said.

But, "I can tell you that the likelihood is that this is our victim," Jones said.

Coroner Michael Murphy said he expected to make a positive identification Friday, the same day that 50-year-old Brenda Stokes, the woman Jade was last seen with, appears in court on charges that she slashed a co-worker with razor blades at the Bellagio resort casino.

The body of a 10-year-old Las Vegas girl who was last seen with a blackjack dealer accused of slashing her colleague has been found in an undeveloped housing area, police believe.

Jade Morris has been missing for a week after family friend Brenda Stokes offered to take her Christmas shopping. The pair never returned.

That night Stokes allegedly slashed a co-worker in the face with razor blade at the famed Bellagio resort on the Las Vegas strip.

Stokes, 50, is now in jail, and Capt. Jones said she has not cooperated in the investigation of the girl's whereabouts. She even denied collecting the girl from her home.
A passer-by called 911 about noon Thursday, and North Las Vegas police found a girl's body in brush near palm trees in a small traffic circle near Dorrell Lane and North Fifth Street.

This is so messed up. Why? Why kill a child? I'm sorry I just had to put it out there. Poor baby girl.
 
Prosecutors said in Justice Court that DNA found in Stokes' car and home was being analyzed. Once authorities have confirmation the DNA belongs to 10-year-old Jade Morris, Stokes will be rebooked on murder charges.

I'm so glad it looks like they have ample evidence. I'm very sad about the violence done to Jade that evidence shows. :-(
