Just got in from dinner and see a suspect is in custody! That is great news. I do think they probably have their man, but I am curious if it was a tip about the location of the truck that led to the suspect, or the identification of the suspect that led to the discovery of the truck.

Sadly, I highly doubt that Naomi will be found alive, though I pray she will be, but I hope that if she is gone, LE will be able to find her and take her home. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. JMO

I'm imagining LE are pushing hard to get the suspect to talk. I wonder if they already have search warrants for his home? His phone?

I wonder where he was taken into custody and what final piece of info led LE to him. Or maybe they've been onto him for a while.

Absolutely heartbreaking. No parent should ever have to go through the hell these poor people have endured for two weeks now. I pray that they get their precious daughter back. JMO

They called him a suspect from the get go, which they hardly ever do, so I'm guessing they had enough evidence to strongly suspect it wasn't just a random truck passing by.

I can say that I am confident the court system around Fallon will be all over this!!!! IF this suspect is the one, he will not find sympathy.

If there are others involved, which I have never gotten the sense there are, then it is possible that Naomi is alive and elsewhere, but the apparent likelihood that she was not found with the suspect makes me think that this was not a kidnapping for ransom, and sadly, very unlikely she will be found alike. I am sorry to say that, but that is most likely the case, imo. JMO

The Courts and Administrative offices in Lyon County are in Yerington, which is about 45 miles away from Fernley, although there is a Sheriff’s office, small jail facility, and a small court in Fernley. Fallon is in a different county and it’s unlikely any legal activity would be handled there.

If they were to go for a change of venue for this case, it would likely go to either Reno (Washoe County) or Carson City.
