Surprized no-one's mentioned Coyote Rd, that runs
close to Nivloc Rd, both roads leaving the town of
Silver Peak in a roughly south-west direction. Nivloc
eventually dead-ends in the high country. Looking at
Google Maps, Coyote Rd does not dead-end but rather
continues and eventually swings north-west - and it's
either Coyote Rd or other continuing-on
un-named roads that actually continue on roughly
westwards through the high country, connecting with
other dirt roads that eventually intercept the 264 &
the (dirt) 773. Difficult to judge from above, but
Coyote Rd or those other un-named roads might
seem like they might be decent looking dirt roads
in parts.

There were posts of SAR searching Coyote Road today. Assume it's the one you mean.

Red Mountain, when I googled it, is way east of there, on Highway 6 on the way to Ely. Travis stated RV was found west of Silver Peak. So trying to make sense of that. Also not seeing it on the FB page.
I will delete. I did read this but it was second hand information.

‘Where are they?’: Sisters search for parents who vanished without trace while traveling through Nevada

From the article:

But the sisters didn’t quit. Neither did they give up when they reached out to the Civil Air Patrol and found out they hadn’t been contacted about joining the search. The sisters found out the steps that had to be taken and on Tuesday, nine days after their parents’ disappearance, the Civil Air Patrol was finally able to take flight and join in the search.

MOO I can’t believe how hard the sisters had to work to get the search and silver alert going.

If only the Civil Air Patrol was able to search nine days ago.

From the article I linked above:

Both Ronnie and Beverly deal with a host of medical ailments. The daughters said both are diabetic. Beverly has high blood pressure, amongst other conditions, and currently needs a wheelchair to get around. Ronnie is a cancer survivor and only has partial lungs.

MSM has it now.
Missing couple’s RV found empty, nephew says | KLAS

ESMERALDA COUNTY, Nev. (KLAS) — The nephew of the missing couple who were driving through Nevada says their RV has been found, but the couple and their car were not there.

Travis Peters tells 8 News Now that “They discovered the RV this afternoon around noon your time. It’s located on the other side of red mountain I’m not sure exactly where but it’s in the Silver Peak area. Ronnie and Beverly were not with the RV, and the car was gone. All the Deputy could tell us is that it was buried in the mud.”

This map includes Red Mountain, Silver Peak, Nivloc and the red dot is Coyote Road.

Yeah, I'm concerned that they went the wrong way on that road and wound up deeper in instead of going back.

Since the news mentions mud, can we hope that there are Kia-tracks to follow? Even if it’s just tracks that show which way they went? Is this the type of a road that actually has traffic, or is it a dirt track to nowhere?
