They don't? Come on.

Tell me they don't drink Mountain Dew or Diet Coke, either.
Or that the Majority Leader of the Utah State Senate didn't get picked up for a DUI yesterday.

If this IS Steven, and someone's going to judge him because he ordered iced tea, it's understandable why he disappeared.

We don't drink tea. I'm not so sure about iced tea. I do know that Steven doesn't like it. But we almost have to factor in a mental health issue if this is Steven so it could work.

BTW I'm a mormon and I LOVE diet coke!

Steven, my Grandmother and I were in Ceadar City for the fall session of the Shakspearean Fest. That was September or October.

Wow. So he had the check for that long. I'm assuming it was a large amount ($500 or more).
It's easy to cash a small birthday day; maybe he was touchier than we thought, about his money issues?

So, is the ONE question from someone here the same ONE that is being deliberately withheld ? Can you please tell me that ? Yep
I have gone back through these threads, and I * think * I know what the piece of information might be .... If I'm correct it really does change everything, and also makes me somewhat less optimistic.
In the interview with Steven's dad, he stated that LE in both St.George and Vegas did not take this seriously at first. Then they did. I would think they took it seriously AFTER they got the missing piece of information. Correct ?No, they took it seriously because they checked Steven's background and realized he wasn't a pothead who wandered off on a bad trip

They didn't take it seriously, because they thought he and Z (who has a drug history) were associates in something?

Potheads don't have "bad trips". That's LSD users ;)
Stupid potheads are the kind who'll take the small appliances from the landlord's kitchen.

There is a clue in the other thread that Naegle left BUT i'm not saying where, what page, what it says or anything because 1) most everyone on here seems truely concerned but we may not know if someone is just reading this everyday (i have been reading this from pretty much the first day it started on here) & not a registered user. 2) we don't know who is who - I'm just saying gotta be careful as to not spook anyone.

the whole tea thing & what not here's the deal - seems to be a lot of LDS questions & what not - which are important seeing as he is LDS and that our faith is not just a religion it truely is a way of life - We can choose to do what ever we want - just like in the rest of the world there are concequences. How devout someone is, is up to them. Seems he is pretty devout with how involved he was in his ward & just from the FB page. Ice tea- yep not suppose to drink it - herbal is okay, alcohol is a no, drugs of course is a no - coffee is a no - caffeine is a myth we are aloud people just like to say we aren't. So it is quite possible he could be drinking ice tea - it's a persons choice.

My mind is running a million miles an hour - I need to go organize my thoughts, questions & ideas - I'll post again later. Oh and Laytonian - great timeline ;)

Tea is specifically covered in the LDS "code of health" so to speak called the Word of Wisdom. You can read more about it at LDS.org.

Soda and caffeine are NOT covered here despite what many Mormons believe.

Im not saying he doesn't drink tea. I said unlikely. He held a leadership position in the church. Worthiness, including obedience to the church's guidelines about what we consume, is taken into considering when someone is asked to serve in such a capacity. He can lie in those interviews. He can decide to go against that code at any time.

Just seems weird that an LDS dude who *shouldnt* and most LIKELY wasn't drinking tea would suddenly develop a 4 glass a day craving.

Im not being defensive even if it sounds like am. Swear.

Okay question real quick before I have to get off of here. Has anybody knocked or talked to the people on that street- did anybody act odd, besides the fact a stranger was knocking on there door. If the houses where knocked - did anyone not answer? Have the cops gone door to door? (not sure how much they do that). If the houses were knocked & not answered has anyone gone back to those houses - may be something there hmm?
Oh excuse my ignorance but what is LE? sorry just trying to catch up on the lingo - my husband says I'm a born detective - my mom would agree - hince the name - I'm not nosey - observant & ASK a ton of question - thanks to everyone - I think you guys are brilliant - Naegle - I'm on the FB page too, let me know what I can do - I'm only a state away from NV & UT. I'll let you know on FB who I am, so if you need anything you can PM me on there.
oh yeah forgot to let you all know - I think the guy with the cameras is former US MARSHALL - explains a lot - I live in a retirement community (although I'm in my 20's) & ya'll would be surprised what goes on here & the ex marshalls, ex spies & what not - old habits are hard to break I guess.

I know you're not. I hope I didn't sound accusatory. We just can't make blanket statements of someone's conduct IF they're in a crisis situation.

If this was my missing family member, and he was found safe but drunk as the proverbial skunk, I'd overlook the issue and be thrilled he was found. I think KC would be thrilled if Steven came back driving a tanker truck full of Lipton's tea ;)

LOL. I am not Mormon, but I LOVE Diet Coke too. Besides Websleuths that is my only addiction ;)

LE = law enforcement.

Yes, a resident in each home was talked to. No homes were searched, nor was every occupant grilled (that would take warrants, and probable cause).

When people find out I don't drink tea (hot or cold), they think I'm Mormon. Until they try to come between my coffee and me. ;)

Ain't life grand?

Hi All. My homelife and other issues have taken over today, so I have not been able to be on here as much as I would like. I volunteered to work on a list of questions that we had answers to vs. the still unknown. I have not been able to do that today, I am sorry. I may be able to begin working on it later this evening or tomorrow. If someone needs or wants it sooner and wants to start on it, I completely understand.

Good wishes sent to all of you and hoping Steven comes home today!!

It is my understanding that Steven's family and LE (Law Enforcement) have been door to door through the neighborhood. I am not aware if anything specific stood out.

BTW thanks for the insight into the retirement community. Interesting!!

I'm back and I have news - but I want speak to Naegle before I share all here. Don't want to be a tease ya'll, but I also have hope and I was a little short on that before my outing today.

I'll be back as soon as Naegle gives me the green light!

I am sure I speak for everyone here. Thank you (and your son) for taking your personal time to continue this search on foot. It is because of people like you that WS is so awesome. BBL - Can't wait to hear your news.

Hi Naegle,
You wrote : No, they took it seriously when they checked his bacground, and found out he wasn'[r a pothead who had wandered of." But ... a healthy young man of 30 going missing for a few days would not really have had LE out with scenthounds on the ground and choppers in the air. Those types pf searches are usually reserved for those missing persons who are "deemed to be in harm's way". That is what I was told. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Steven's family. I hope he comes home soon.

Where is this IHOP? In Vegas?

I'm only curious because I was there a couple years ago, and wonder if I was anywhere near it.

The anticipation is killing me.

Realized today Ive been getting tension headaches from focusing on this case so hard. Seems like no matter what Im doing or where I am Im thinking about the case.

...and I thought I had a pain in the neck last night, from concentrating.

Hurry!
