If it walks like a Duck...All in it together, and I'm sure paid handsomely to collude. My opinion.
IMO, nah; Trump hates paying for anything. That's a BIGLY HATES.

He wouldn't have to pay them to collude when the company relies on the numbers provided by Trump to arrange his financials. Why pay when he can simply LIE about his numbers.

This is a life-long activity with Trump. Lie, lie, and lie again and then keep on lying.

The minute the NYAG provided the beef for this fraud burger, the Company dropped Trump as a client due to his lies.

If he were in collusion with them to defraud the State, then would have continued to try to cover his sorry butt (like his convicted felon of a co-defendant CFO) IMO.

The second day will focus on going through years of financial documents. Trump’s former long-time accountant, Donald Bender, is expected to be back on the witness stand.

Judge Arthur Engoron ruled last week that Trump was liable for fraud in his business dealings, and the ruling could force Trump to give up New York properties including Trump Tower, a Wall Street office building, golf courses, and a suburban estate.

James is seeking $250 million and a ban on Trump doing business in New York.

IIRC, today was the scheduled deposition in Trump's lawsuit against Michael Cohen. He will skip deposition to sit at the defendant's table in the courtroom when he doesn't need to be there.

What encapsulates Trump’s persona more than this?

The judge’s ruling has pierced the heart of Trump’s empire, which was born here in NYC, yet his principal concern is that the public may not perceive him as a billionaire.

He’s desperate that no one knows he’s the epitome of “the emperor has no clothes.”

IMO

@Inthedetails Thank you for the gift link to the article, but I was not able to open it.
I've been using the emperor has not clothes...Glad someone else is at that point as well.

I have a few in regards to Trump,

! The Emperor has no clothes
2 The Pied Piper.
3 An evil Wizard of Oz, a tiny little man with little hands behind a curtain.
4 Like a Dorian Gray, type person. There's a picture somewhere of the real him.
Actually Dorian Gray appeared to remain young and handsome while his portrait showed his ugliness: Trump's ugliness is right on his face- no portrait necessary

Trump told reporters during a break on the second day of the trial that he will take the witness stand "at the appropriate time."

Before the trial resumed Tuesday morning in Manhattan Supreme Court, Trump blasted James as a "fraud."

"This case should be dismissed," Trump told reporters. "And she should probably be dismissed also."

On Tuesday, Trump said. "Her numbers are fraudulent."

He had glared at James on Monday when walking out of the courtroom.

Donald Trump’s net worth is down more than $600 million from a year ago, mostly due to his social media business, Truth Social. His office buildings are also down by an estimated $170 million, but golf is the bright spot in Trump’s portfolio. With an estimated $2.6 billion fortune, he is $300 million shy of the cutoff for The 2023 Forbes 400 ranking of America’s richest people, the annual measurement that Trump has obsessed over for decades, lying to reporters year after year to try to vault himself higher on the list.

MORE: Just as he lied to Forbes, Trump is accused of lying about his net worth to financial institutions for years, and a judge ruled he was personally liable for fraud last week. The trial for the case began Monday, and is expected to last until December.

Donald Trump's business valued an apartment at two and a half times higher than the price his daughter Ivanka Trump had been offered to buy it, a New York court heard.

The former president, who was expected to leave the courthouse during the lunch break in the trial, re-entered the courtroom around 1:30 p.m. ET. He is "likely" to watch the trial for the rest of the day, two aides told NBC News.

It's unclear what led to Trump's decision, but that would mean he'll be able to watch at least some of his attorney's cross-examination of Donald Bender.

Trump appeared to be agitated during some of Bender's first day of testimony on Monday, at times shaking his head and whispering comments to lawyers Chris Kise and Alina Habba.

Justice Arthur Engoron appears to be enjoying his time overseeing the trial today, including correcting the attorneys for the state on minor issues.

"The correct word is withdrawn, not strike," Engoron interjected at one point, after a state attorney attempted to "strike" the record so he could rephrase a statement.
[snip]
Exiting court during the break, Trump told reporters positioned nearby that the financial statements being reviewed in court included disclaimers, which his legal team has argued absolves him of wrongdoing.

"This case is a scam," Trump said during his walk back to court.
Trump expected in court for 2nd day

takes one to know one . . .

New: Closed-door courtroom mtg w/ Trump, atty and AG in the midst of lunch break. Trump entered for 20 min and exited while his attorneys remained inside. He re-entered for several minutes before his team left again. AG attys remained in court. About what? We don’t know yet.

Speculation is closed door mtg relates to a Trump post this AM attacking judge’s clerk as Sen. Schumer’s “girlfriend” giving her name and picture. The post appears to now be deleted. This follows a previous attack on the judge yesterday. Again, we don’t know what was discussed.

Update: Our 2:15pm start time has come and gone. Trump continues to enter and exit the courtroom with his attorneys. This ain’t your average bench or chambers conference.

Trump, on Truth Social, is attacking Judge Engoron's *clerk," — who is literally in the courtroom with him — while calling her "Chuck Schumer's girlfriend" and posting a link to her Instagram account. I suspect this will be an exhibit in some gag order arguments

Looks like that post has been deleted, I saw it earlier but now it's gone. Haven't heard if the judge ordered it be deleted.
