All service in and out of Hoboken are suspended, not sure how it will affect them. Also the ferry that is out of Hoboken is suspended too.

CNN just broke in with breaking news that they have surveillance of AKR arriving on track 9 in NY with NJ Transit the night of the bombing with the luggage and that his car was also seen coming out of Lincoln tunnel but he was not in it, so they are trying to figure out who came into the city driving his car.

So Fried chicken, burn marks in the backyard, previously investigated, and everybody close to him seems to either have been in transit, as it played out, or soon thereafter, in some form or another. Distancing still going on in the interviews, a vociferous defense begins as soon as the wife returns? It could be state sponsors or drug concerns or both, Islamist or jihadist, or whatever kind of ideologue, retaliatory or provocatively, ultimately to intimidate, trying to cover their asses, or just luck, I guess? Either way, it seems like a massive investigation.

It leads to another thought. If these guys are pilots they have the ability to go around security in Egypt and coming off a plane no one is checking them here. We are in deep Do Do. How would we disrupt a plot if any one or others decide to take one of these planes enroute to NYC or other places and decides to use these planes as weapons?? We not only have to worry about hijackers taking the plane we have pilots involved in Jihad!!

The owner of the salon next door to the First American Chicken, said in some MSM I can't find again (NYT about the Dad maybe), that a mixed group of women and men showed up at the shop with him around the time of the bombings, whom she didn't recognize, as he usually brought cousins. LE probably checked that out, I imagine.

A sister? Also, don't forget this is the same night they pulled over the SUV in Brooklyn and took 5 people in for questioning (who were on their way to JFK).

And I believe the SUV was in the area of Elizabeth that day.

Rahami was seen exiting a NJ Transit train at Penn Station in New York around 6 p.m. ET, a couple hours before the bombing. He is seen on video carrying a backpack as well as two rolling duffle bags. Authorities believe the backpack contained the pipe bombs later found in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and the duffle bags contained pressure cooker bombs.

One of those bombs exploded on West 23rd Street, and the other was later found unexploded on West 27th Street. At this point, investigators had not identified video showing the man believed to be Rahami leaving New York City.

A vehicle spotted during surveillance near Rahami's Elizabeth home and records later show it entering Manhattan through the Lincoln Tunnel around 6:30 p.m. ET. As a result of the surveillance video at Penn Station, investigators do not believe Rahami was in the car. The same vehicle left Manhattan through the same tunnel at approximately 11:30 p.m. ET. Investigators are still working to determine who was in the vehicle entering and exiting Manhattan, and whether there is a connection to the bombings.

In the meantime, investigators have not said how he travelled to Seaside Park to place the pipe bombs in the trash can that exploded at the military run.

The updated rules will:

 Increase the maximum length of WEA messages (from 90 to 360 characters) for 4G LTE and future networks;
 Require participating wireless providers to support inclusion of embedded phone numbers and URLs in all WEA alerts, including WEA AMBER alerts, which will enable the public to click to see a photo or to call authorities;
 Require participating wireless providers to deliver the alerts to more granular geographic areas;
 Create a new class of alerts (“Public Safety Messages&#8221 to convey essential, recommended actions that can save lives or property (e.g. emergency shelter locations or a boil water order);
 Require participating wireless providers to support transmission of Spanish-language alerts; and
 Make it easier for state and local authorities to test WEA, train personnel, and raise public awareness about the service.

There were no updates on anything related to NYC explosion during the day yesterday, I assume the press was covering the train accident in Hoboken.

It was good to wake up this morning and see updates about how Rahami travelled into the City. At least one reporter is still working on this. :thinking:
