MANHATTAN, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 16-year-old mother and her two young daughters who were reported missing from their Midtown East residence. The three were last seen on Friday, August 23, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m. leaving their home at 150 East 44th Street.
The search is ongoing, and detectives are canvassing the area and reviewing available surveillance footage. No further information has been released at this time.
Augustina Muntean and her daughters, 3-year-old Gloria Muntean and 1-month-old Florida Muntean, were last seen leaving their home on East 44th Street around 12:30 p.m.
Augustina Muntean is described as being 5’3″ and having long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a red shirt, a black and white long skirt and black sandals. It’s not known what the children were wearing when they went missing, according to authorities.
