I'm wondering when she "became" missing. Was she going somewhere? When did she leave? If her car was there at least Sunday morning. When was she seen last? Cell phone? So many questions missing. I hope she's warm safe.

Town police and Albany County sheriff's deputies are using a drone to search for a missing woman whose car was found Sunday near West Albany Pocket Park on Braintree Street.

The search for Beverly A. Trombley appears to be focused on the area around train tracks that run behind the park.

Officers with police dogs are also at the scene as investigators try to find the 77-year-old woman, who was last seen by her family on Saturday. She vanished hours before a powerful storm swept through the area, dropping two feet of snow.

Trombley was first reported missing in Massachusetts where her family was moving at the time she disappeared. Trombley has not lived in Colonie and it is unclear why she might have gone there. she previously lived in Voorheesville. She was reported missing in Colonie on Monday.

Police search for missing woman near Colonie park

Surveillance video from Saturday night shows a car belonging to Beverly A. Trombley driving on the railroad tracks behind the West Albany Pocket Park a short time before she vanished.

According to video reviewed by sheriff's deputies, the car passes one camera around 8:30 p.m. and then returns, headed in the other direction several minutes later. The video does not show who was driving the car but deputies expected to get access to more camera recordings on Wednesday, Sheriff Craig Apple said.

It's unclear exactly where the car entered the tracks or why Trombley might have been on them, Apple said.

The empty car was found near the tracks early Sunday morning. There was no sign of Trombley and deputies have had a hard time piecing together what might have happened.

"We've had no tips, nothing," Apple said. "We're trying to see if she might still be in that area."

sounds like she got turned around, possibly thinking the track area was actually a road and tried to turn around. The battery was dead but she (someone) did put the flashers on so that would have kicked the battery. She was moving to that area so she didn't know it. Got separated from her son during the drive. So sad, I can't stop thinking about her. IMO
