Ugh, now the family is claiming that a 2008 scandal in Pennsylvania involving kickbacks to a judge for assigning juveniles to a specific for-profit institution is solid proof that Columbia county New York government is corrupt. Huh? This even surpasses their straw man argument that one commits child abuse if they don't believe the family's unsubstantiated stories. I hope the court orders psyche evals for the adults as IMO something is very wrong with their thinking. MOO.
It seems they are looking for any cases of injustice to support their claims.

They must be referring to the "Kids for Cash" scandal. Two judges accepted money for sending thousands of kids to youth centers without cause. One of them was sentenced to 28 years in prison.

Anyway, this kind of thing happens all over the country, although that case was the extreme. Imo

There are enough examples in their own county. If all their claims are true, and CPS did not have sufficient evidence proving the children were in imminent danger, then I don't see what they have to worry about. They certainly would not have to "prove their case" to the public.

Imo

She/they are bellyaching that there are people trolling, defaming, and harassing their family online. They claim these people are accessories to everything that has happened.

My my my what a big ego we have!!!!

Unbelievable...
I could make a list a mile long with links of parents abusing child...

Those posts mean zilch!

What matters is the weeks and days leading up to ETB collapsing.

They are responsible for their negligence over ETB.

And lets back up to VTB being asked if she got pierced yet.

She replies no because still dealing with Evanna. 11-13-20
What does that mean???

Even the man she was texting with on 12-1-20 recognized it was a life or death situation.

I think in that case they were referring to the snowstorm and icy conditions on the road. Didn't someone get in an accident because they slid on the ice? There were some text messages about that. The reason they delayed taking Evanna to the Dr seems to be because they were determined to take her to Massachusetts. Imo

there's some kind of warrant that will "keep" copies of deleted fb post from pages .. I don't remember what it's called but I can't imagine there's not one in this case... the fb page and community pages are the gift that keeps giving with the prosecution ... and a headache for their lawyer

They clearly acknowledge in the week leading up to her death, she swelling of her ankles similar to what we would associate with the swelling many encounter during a pregnancy...

1. These are more posts proving they knew something was wrong in the weak (or more) leading up to ETB collapsing.

2. Ankles similar to what we would associate with the swelling many encounter during a pregnancy??!!!
What?? If my 12 year old had ankles the size of what a pregnant woman's ankles look like---there would be a severe problem!!!

I would be concerned if an adult was experiencing swollen ankles/legs/feet out of nowhere and it was not disappearing in a day, I would be even more concerned if it was a child.

They didn't even do the bare minimum, which would be calling their doctor, telling him about her symptoms and asking for help on what to do next.

I've never heard of a warrant that will save deleted posts, but deleted posts can be retrieved, from what I understand.

It can work both ways. There was a case against CPS several years ago in that county in which a DSS attorney and another county worker posted inflammatory statements on FB against parents and the deleted posts were retrieved.

In fact that might be one example the family is using to support their claims that the same thing is happening to them, without naming any names.

Imo

Yes, I'm sure if they had called and said Evanna had swollen ankles, the Drs. office would have told them to come in right away. I'm not sure if they even had a pediatrician in that area, though. They mentioned Evanna had been to a checkup the previous year but didn't say where. It's a pretty long drive to MA if that's where they were taking them for treatment.

ETA Do they even have medical coverage for the children? I haven't seen any mention of that.

RBBM.
That's an important point. All they've ever said about getting Evanna to the doctor was that they *began* making arrangements for a car and to call their doctor who was only available on certain days. They never even stated that they had an actual appointment. They've never explained why they didn't do as you noted and simply call the doctor for advice. IMO if they had done that and followed whatever advice he gave they wouldn't be in the mess they're in right now.

Plus, Boston is approximately 145 to 167 miles away, depending on the location. So a 2 to 3 hour drive in good weather. They've lived in that house at least since 2017, why didn't the kids have a local doctor?

So much wrong. MOO.

I wonder if the Doctor in MA was a pediatrician or an MD. Some people go to Chiropractors for holistic therapy and treatment. Imo

Yep, I keep wrecking my brain about their insistence on taking Evanna to Boston so she could be seen by a doctor, instead of just going to the local hospital.

It's one thing to like a doctor a lot, and making the trip for routine checkups (which, by the way, did the children even have checkups?), even taking the day off to enjoy the city and see friends and family. In my opinion, making the trip from Austerlitz to Boston with a very sick child, with swollen ankles and a distended abdomen makes zero sense. That poor child was in no shape to be in a car for that long. That trip would've been absolutely miserable.

On the screenshots of texts, where she says they were still dealing with Evanna, why does it look like it’s been edited, with a white box and her name? Was there a nickname there instead? Why block it out?
No, I just checked those screenshots and I think that she searched for the word "Evanna" on the conversation with Tenji so she could easily pull out the texts about her and that might be why it shows up like that.

I tried that on Messenger just now, I searched for the word "iPhone" in a group conversation, the word "iPhone" shows up like "Evanna" does on that message.

My issue with those screenshots is that they tried to pick and choose what to post, but still failed miserably. Some messages are taken out of context, the car accident has nothing to do with them supposedly trying to go Boston. Most of the screenshots don't have a time stamp.

I suspect that Evanna was not feeling well since, at least, November 13. That text about "still dealing with Evanna" had nothing to do with her misbehaving, it was about her being sick and Papa "handling it". If Papa was SO sick, he wasn't "handling it" regarding Evanna misbehaving.

The messages about "life or dead circumstances" are NOT about driving in snow, it's about taking Evanna to the hospital.

They really thing they're smarter than everyone but they manage to make things worse and worse for themselves with every word they write. In my opinion, those messages just further prove how negligent they were regarding Evanna's health.
