Where did they go when they left the hospital? They couldn't go home because LE was searching it and they weren't allowed to go inside.

My understanding is that LE was searching the home for several days, so where were them? They didn't have the children to look after because they were taken by DSS, they couldn't go home, and their child was in the hospital. So, why did they left and where did they go?
Apparently the entire family was someplace so secret that even DSS couldn't contact them to update them on Evanna's condition.

Sarcasm (actually semi-sarcasm) aside, they never said where they went. The only thing I remember is they said something about DSS claiming Steve and Heidi "fled" the area, which they said wasn't true. They said back in one of the old cases in MA DSS there also accused Steve and Heidi of fleeing, which the family says isn't true. Interesting, so many parallels between the cases in MA and NY. MOO.

I remember them saying they didn't have any clothes or their phones or computers with them.

Or money. I don't think I've ever heard of LE taking one's wallet during a search without returning it. Maybe they went to Boston where they supposedly have friends? Where does Tenji live?
They claimed they had no funds, that LE stole all their money when they searched the house. So I guess their superior homeschool education didn't include lessons on the modern banking system.

They also said that all the contact info for their friends and family were in their phones, so they couldn't get in touch with anyone after LE took them. But they had people staying with them and the people that they called for a ride... and who presumably drove some of the family to the hospital. Who knows what is actually true.

I remember the talk of Steve and Heidi being out of state, so maybe they did go to Boston for awhile.

What?? The TB family just posted that they did call their doctor to ask for advice on what to do for Evanna. Someone asked them if they did and the TBs answered yes and that they've testified that they did and it's in "evidence." Not just to make an appointment but to ask what they should do.

This makes no sense. The TB family is saying that they called their family doctor to ask for advice yet they never once mentioned this on the family blog. IMO it's not true.

Isn't that the best defense to the DSS case and the manslaughter charges? In fact why would DSS or LE even bring charges if their own doctor misled them? Unless of course the doctor told them Evanna should be seen by a doctor immediately and the family decided to wait. Or maybe they never made any such call. MOO. For a year they've been saying there was no emergency until Evanna choked on Heidi's dangerous, sticky candy.

Darn it, I can't see their posts, and if I open in incognito I can't see any comments.

Good thing the doctor has a record of the call! Oh, wait...

Think about this for one moment... Say we never heard of this case. Pretend all we know is a little 12 year old girl is brought to a hospital by ambulance. Pretend the circumstances leading up to that moment are unclear but the reality is the little girl is dying. Her family is asked to come to the hospital to be with her when she is taken off of life support. They refuse. Every single one of them. Not one single family member shows up to hold Evanna's hand as she takes her last breath. Not one family member whispers "I love you" to dying Evanna.

Thanks. The reason I ask is that when VTB was initially posting here, the story she told had no mention of choking. And I distinctly remember a poster discussing various conditions that could cause a sudden collapse and cessation of breathing, and mentioned in passing choking. It was after that post that the candy and choking was incorporated into the narrative.

Anyone else remember this?

I'll say MOO and IIRC since those early posts aren't available.

I just sent a message asking if the old thread could be made visible again now that charges have been filed and stories are changing. That is, if it is archived somewhere. We shall see.

So, so, so sad.

IMO it's not about Evanna and never was. Their ongoing litany of corruption goes back at least to 2002 in MA - and we don't know if there were other cases in other states. IMO it has always been about the parents Steve and Heidi being "defamed" by corrupt officials. It makes one wonder why they left Boston, MA where Steve and Heidi had their alleged film business to go to Austerlitz, New York and work in a food coop as cooks.

When did they leave Boston and move to NY? Evanna died in NYS 2019. Web search they posted shows CPS cases involved in Mass when Evanna was only 12 days old. Then again several years later. Does anyone know when they moved to NYS and why?

For local color perhaps not unpertinent to the weird belief system evidently this family's, note that the area itself houses entities which hold oddly non-traditional beliefs: just across the river, in Palenville, Catskill, there's the Maetreum of Cybele, a castration cult, while in Columbia County itself there's the Anthropospophic Society in Hudson and the Theosophical Society's Pumpkin Hollow Retreat Center near Craryville -- less than 15 miles from Austerlitz. The Hudson Valley has long housed non-traditional belief systems.

So their beliefs may not have outwardly alarmed.

What does any of this have to do with the family not comforting their dying daughter?
