He constantly repeats these things IMO because the repetition makes it easier for his followers to believe it's true. If something is said over and over again, it becomes more believable over time, and it's like pulling the wool over others' eyes. It's a sneaky technique that has been proven to work for him. He's a criminal because he committed a crime that he got caught at. Now he's trying to do damage control and if he makes you believe he's an innocent victim and that he did nothing wrong, then it benefits his need for power and control over more and more people. All my opinion only.
Actually this is exactly how Mary Kay (as in cosmetics) trained her people. If you tell them something 27 times or whatever the number was they will begin to believe it. Proven to work.

IMO Mary Kay had a very loyal (ahem) following. Remember the pink cars!!??

Maybe that's where Trump learned his technique! MOO.

We don't need him to repeat things. We are smart enough to make decisions for ourselves and form our own opinions.

I think it is relevant that his family have not really shown him public support.

Donald Trump has now finished speaking, after about 40 minutes.

His son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Lara Trump were in the crowd, however it's interesting to note that no one from his family - nor his legal or campaign team - were standing with the former president, during what is quite an important moment for him.

It absolutely is relevant

In my opinion, the change of venue argument really only comes in BEFORE the trial, when one side or the other may argue that it would be more difficult/take longer to seat a jury that is acceptable to both sides.

To make that argument on appeal, after that time/money has been spent, suggests that one side thinks the jury was in fact biased *even though both sides approved each juror.* This strikes me as a very difficult appeal argument to make successfully, though IANAL. MOO.

Michael Cohen: Trump was ‘scared s***less’ to testify in hush money trial

Despite suggesting he was going to, Donald Trump did not take the stand in his own defense during his hush money trial.

Michael Cohen, the prosecution’s star witness, claims that Trump didn’t testify because he was “scared s***less”.

Trump returns to the ballot as a convicted felon

Voters in Montana, New Jersey and New Mexico are casting their ballots in presidential primaries on Tuesday, marking the first time in American history that voters are selecting a convicted criminal as their nominee to lead the Republican party.

Tuesday’s primary elections are the final primaries before the general election this fall – and the first election after a New York jury convicted Trump on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records last Thursday.

Biden lays into ‘convicted felon’ Trump in fiery campaign speech: ‘Something snapped in this guy for real’

President Joe Biden called out Trump for what he is – a “convicted felon” – in a fiery campaign speech last night, where he laid into his “clearly unhinged” Republican rival who “snapped” after losing the 2020 election.

In the immediate aftermath of Trump’s conviction on all charges in his New York hush money trial last week, the president offered only cautious comment on his political foe.

But on Monday evening, addressing a campaign event at the private residence of a wealthy Democratic donor couple in Greenwich, Connecticut, Biden didn’t hold back.

This just in: Trump's lawyers have asked Judge Merchan to lift the gag order preventing him from publicly attacking witnesses, jurors, and the judge's own daughter "because the trial is now over," and the June 27 debate around the corner.
Unclear if this is also an admission that his recent comments alluding to Michael Cohen, Stormy Daniels, and Merchan's daughter violated the gag order.

“Folks, the campaign entered uncharted territory last week,” [Biden] told his audience.

“For the first time in American history, a former president that is a convicted felon is now seeking the office of the presidency.”

“But as disturbing as that is, more damaging is the all-out assault Donald Trump is making on the American system of justice.”

[…]

“The threat that Trump poses would be greater in a second term than it was in his first term,” he said.

“This isn’t the same Trump who got elected in 2016. He’s worse. Something snapped in this guy for real when he lost in 2020. He can’t accept he lost and it is literally driving him crazy.”

Biden continued: “Now he’s running again. And he’s not only obsessed with losing in 2020, he is clearly unhinged. Just listen to him.

“He says he wants to be – in his words – ‘a dictator on day ne.’ He says he wants to – in his words – ‘terminate the Constitution.’ When asked if he thought violence would occur if he lost again he said ‘it depends.’

“He calls convicted insurrectionists who are in prison now ‘patriots.’ And, if re-elected, he wants to pardon ‘every one of them’. Trump says if he loses again in November there’ll be – in his words – a ‘bloodbath.’”

Biden warned: “My God what kind of man is this? In fact, just this weekend, he said his MAGA supporters would reach a ‘breaking point.’

Since their billionaires it wouldn't be money. Probably just wanting to do the right thing for the country. JMO.
Most billionaires definitely care about money!

It doesn't need to be tax related in terms of campaign donations, or at all -- think of all the ways a president can enact/support/prohibit rules that benefit the rich. Especially the rich who are involved in industry -- he's already out there promising the oil industry that if re-elected he will remove environmental rules and other regulations that cost that industry money. Any industrial billionaire would want the president to feel obligated to "thank" the industry for financial support leading to his election.

MOO
