Well, because of the length of time this is all taking and because of all the silence, im beginning to wonder if all this involves a high level prominent person or has a really nasty scandal involved with it all. I dont even think the COD or any details will be released when they do get them back. I think all we are going to know is when there is an arrest. Of course, they do have to try to protect the children from tons of gossip and rumors. I dont imagine its fun for them in school to have to deal with the bullying and accusations. They also have to consider the kids safety. I only do hope that there will be an arrest and this doesnt just get thrown into a cold case file!!

BBM...
That would be a reason to have everything hush hush and brushed under the rug.....
Are there high level officials in Norwich that would be of that level that someone would go great lengths to cover something so heinous?

The silence and time passing is ridiculous. Whoever runs against The current sheriff sure has a lot to start their election base on. IMO.

I did notice a long time ago that Jennifer's family's FB pages appear to lean conservative (nothing wrong that.... I lean the same way. ;) ). It seems something is always happening to propel more and more restrictions and control over everyone- a death here or there..... Can't say my mind hasn't gone there with all the crap that goes on that perhaps this is part of some bigger picture. I have quickly shut that thinking down because its very very unlikely.... There is practically a neon sign over someone's head that says "I'm guilty".

Here is some relevant information from another WS missing Mom case: her kids are NOT with the husband as the investigation proceeds. Case very similar to Jen's- right down to the husband's snooping on the wife.

Seems the LE of other places know better:

"Germantown Police executed a search warrant on the home of Heather Palumbo-Jones estranged husband Chris Jones.

The divorce papers show the two were fighting for custody of their two children.

Germantown police spent Wednesday combing areas next to Palumbo’s house but Thursday responded mostly to tips taking them all over the city.

They tell News Channel 3 Palumbo’s young son and daughter are staying with family members, not with her estranged husband.

Chris also admits to using/faking his wife's identity in the past. (article)

Chris also admits to printing out all of Heather's text messages. (article)

If Chris was at Heather's the night she went missing, did he send the email to himself?

Why did he print out all her text, did he go to Heather's to confront her with the text?

Yes it is the same y we talk about

No. Really?

So the DA could know Ganesh then?

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, but I would expect any relationship/friendship/passing acquaintance between authorities and Ganesh to be right out in the open at this time. I would sincerely hope so because it does need to be when there is an investigation going on, imo.

Was Ganesh ever a teacher/instructor there too, do we know? Or did he just use the facilities?

I believe the bff was/is on staff there.

Oh dear, this is quite disturbing.
Do you remember there was a brief mention here of the Eccleston murder a couple weeks ago? One morning, 17 year old David was stabbed 21 times by his 15 year old girlfriend, who then headed off to school as if nothing happened.

Guess who her defense attorney was??

"Her attorneys, Joseph McBride and Stephen Dunshey, laid out to the jury a picture of Eccleston as controlling, mean, even abusive. They claimed Dell’Olio was mentally unstable at the time and was suffering from, legally, “brief reactive psychosis” – temporary insanity."

"In the end, the jury, to nearly everyone’s surprise and anger, sided with Dell’Olio. She walked free. Her only sentence was five years of therapy and a check-in every five years thereafter.

The New York Times quoted Judge Kevin M. Dowd’s reaction to the verdict and his own sentencing:
“

“Never in my entire legal career have I had a case which had more disturbing overtones than this one,” Judge Dowd said during the 70-minute hearing. “A young man is dead, and basically I am hamstrung on the situation where I have to treat it like the psychological equivalent of, ‘April had a bad hair day on Oct. 20, 1992.’ “

Joe is often asked to discuss on going court cases and police investigations. Without fail, he refuses to discuss these matters out of respect for those involved.

This phrase says a lot.

It sounds as though at least some of the locals respect the cone of silence that DA Joe McBride likes to work in, and may even follow Joe’s example in staying silent ‘out of respect for those involved’.

But Jen really needs a voice. Someone to say ‘I didn’t do this to myself, please quickly apprehend the person who did this, and do what is best for my children’.

I believe Stephen Dunshee is Assistant DA in Chenango County now.

RL is keeping me busy..Jen is not far from my thoughts..

(DH has lost his JOB and the last 3 weeks have been hard on me...He has been out of town weekdays for 17 years! Oy!)

I was in my Prius tonight and was putting in a new CD...The Radio began to play..."I Will Wait For You!" by Mumford & Sons...That song just pulls at my heart strings...<modsnip>

Dear God Please Bless and Give Strength To Jen's Birth Family and Children!

Jennifer was found on February 26th .. this coming Tuesday April 23rd will be 8 weeks after her discovery.

Didn't someone here say that tox results can take 8-10 weeks?

This couple had a very volatile history were divorcing, and she had an order of protection against him, making the husband the obvious POI, whereas at least officially we do not know if Jennifer and her husband were fighting and threatening one another. We know there was an affair but there is no proof as yet that she knew about it, even if most of us believe she did. The case has similarities but some major differences too, JMO. LE may have a large task outlining enough bits of circumstantial evidence to make a case, if no physical evidence has been found to link him to her death.

I recall one of the mods saying it typically is more like 6 weeks -- so we've passed that milestone. I'm hoping the reason for the delay is bringing in specialists to analyze some of the evidence.

I'm wondering...does LE even have to announce to the general public that the tox results are back?

I hope LE has interviewed her former employer, as he seemed to have some knowledge of the state of the marriage -- it appears Jen confided in him.

One thing I've noticed with this couple is that they had been living in Chenango County for some time, but it seems like most of their friends (except the one obvious one) were all from high school or mostly from college (Arizona) -- at least the ones who have spoken out publically, or set up the FB page for Jen and that sort of thing. So...these are people who haven't BEEN with either of them for a number of years. Would Jen have confided in long-distance friends?

What about friends in Chenango County?? Did Jen have a confidant?

I believe Stephen Dunshee is Assistant DA in Chenango County now.

Stephen Dunshee has said he regrets taking the strategy of assassinating the character of that young man in order to get his client off. It worked, but now he has to live with himself (and his neighbors).

McBride is unapologetic. Might be one reason he couldn't even get the primary vote last year.

I thought it had come back, wasnt that what the 4 sentence apeal 2 weeks ago about?
A while back I said when the tox report comes back clean, ccs will make a small release and that this will be over.unless new clues come forward it is over......
I know every one here thinks im sinical with a axe to grind, any were else in the world I would expext more from le, but I know these guys.

Is this post referring to who got off in Edward Pastore's murder? Or maybe not the right person wasn't charged in Billy Lee's murder? Or just in general about this case? I totally forgot about the other murders at the beginning of this case

I new eddie pastory, so yes, I new billy lee , so yes. Obviously tom Francisco s murder,
And a smyrna resident, who supposedly shot himself , with a long rifle by holding it above his head , shooting from the top of his skull down, just hours after the guy who theatend to shoot him at a party, told le he shoot himself. Then he lied in the hospitail for 2 or 3 moths .his cod was changed , but ccs never wnet to see him , and wont call his father back.
So thats a few murderers imo running around chenango county

maybe they aren't going to release the results, thats how a lot of murderers are put away. they know info. that was never released.

Kudos to you cjwoods! We are some that know things don't get done right, and it's heart breaking to think so many got away with murder!

You got to live , know it, experience it, to believe it !! And even than its impossible to comprehend, there lack of duty. I see it at every level..im dumb founded.

Ive always thought the tox would be clean, the whole thing was planned perfectly, and done in the perfect county to get away with it imo. I still say it was a pressure point stlye cod, the kinds not allowed in mixed martial arts for obviouse reasons.
I dont expect to here anything else about this case ever again, unless family and freinds push it out to the media, via a memorial. And im not at all surpised that the local county paper the evening sun., choice to not print the last statments of the ccso.
