Comment on Bold: I think this statement is misleading. "Always" to me says you always find the missing.

Yes. You are correct. Sigh. I didn't proof it as I should. Very tiring week. But now that you mentioned that...we do show our statistics specifically with those registered with our org. You can find 2012's here: http://lostnmissing.org/2012-lnm-statistics/
2012 was a good year for us. 117 new registered and 74 cases resolved. Unfortunately, not all as we had hoped. On the positive...28 missing teenagers and 27 located...one, unfortunately deceased...and 1 was not located in 2012...but, now this is kind of an irony...she was located at 12:10 am which brought her into a located for 2013!! Had she been located 10 minutes prior...we could say every one of our missing teens were accounted for.

Missing page says they are removing photo's from JR's FB that do not have permission - JR put them there so to me that is her permission. Nobody has permission to remove them except her. Isn't this a breech of privacy? Some of the removed photo's are of food - why remove them?

We don't know what happened to Jennifer. We hope she left on her own. I strongly believe her husband had nothing to do with her disappearance...so the alternative is...(if neither those two reasons)....someone else caused her harm. Her daughter is a young teen. Her mom is missing. There is fear with children "could I be next?" ....we take no chances when it comes to the children's photos. It was very upsetting to see that they were posted in other places. Thankfully "I think" we got to most all who shared and posted them and asked to be removed from postings. So it's not about Jennifer...in this case....it's about the children. I think you could agree with that. I hope.

I flip flop too krey. I can equally see that Jennifer may have run away from her home situation as any other theory.

Controlling husband … perhaps controlling every facet of her life … how to raise the children, what meals to make, if she could work outside the home and earn her own money if she wanted to, her personal activities

Egotistical husband …. indignant .. ‘she wouldn’t leave me, all the ladies love me’ (including her best friend? … double deception and hurt)

Her family keeping pretty quiet through this …. do they know her home life and suspect she could run from it, perhaps they know she is not strong enough to stand up to the husband, or is verbally beaten down when she tries

Police discouraging public from searching … they may strongly suspect she ran, have done some searching themselves, and are concerned about public safety … searching (perhaps futilely, they think) in winter conditions

Leaving phone and car … ‘and you can have the darn car and phone you bought for me to use too!’

It is hard to imagine leaving your children, but as much as you love them, perhaps when your life is s**t and you have no control over anything to do with them anyway ….

May be totally off-base, but these thoughts do enter my mind.

I've not read through all of the posts and/or the rumors to what everyone is thinking or past postings...so not sure how controlling husband, not allowed to work , and her family keeping quiet....etc...but were you aware her parents live right next door? Yes. I don't think anyone brought that up that I've seen but wouldn't you think if Jennifer's lifestyle was from a controlling or abusive spouse (as some are saying may be the situation) that her parents would know this considering they are next door neighbors? Yes, they go to AZ part of the time and live the rest of the time next door. The children are all back and forth...surely they would be crying at Gramma's if they felt home life was scary or problematic.

I wonder how this benefits him and how it will be justified publicly?

My guess is "took photo of kids down," or something like that.

Or, "to protect JR's privacy"...

If JR wanted it set to private, she would have done that herself.

Makes me wonder what JR would want NOW.

She would want her children to be comfortable. Read my recent posts about why I had her page converted to private.

Completely agree. The post you mention isn't signed by lostnmissing, either.

Lavanda, not to be taking advantage of my prior success with Facebook hints, but just while I think of it- I and other people have had trouble finding the FB page you're managing for JR. It doesn't come up in fb searches for me (it used to occasionally but now doesn't at all) so I have to access it by typing the full name of the page into google- it might just be a Facebook glitch but I thought I'd let you know as you might want to check that the settings for it are all set as public as possible.

I know. I cannot figure out why but it does the same to me too. I did go in settings and set a username. It is:
USERNAME LINK TO THIS PAGE:

We had to shut down her page as people on Facebook were taking her photographs without permission and many of the children on her page.

Lavanda, can you tell us who had access to Jennifer's fb? I'm assuming yourself and her husband? I know people will usually share passwords but seems like there would be a privacy breach there?
Well done for organising the event and doing the video as well. You are certainly getting a lot done to get Jennifer's name and face out there.:applause::applause:

Hey Momrids6, I'd love nothing more than to ride the crazy train right now, but i'm not feeling well so i've got to hit the hay. I will return tomorrow, for sure.

Let me say that your many words of wisdom on/about page 8 made my day! Thank you, you rock! See you all back here asap!

I saw references in some posts about Jennifer having lost a lot of weight recently, but I didn't see any articles that mentioned anything about that. Can someone tell me where that information came from and more about it. Also, I saw reference to her husband having asked for a divorce awhile back. Where is that information from? What was said about it? Were search dogs able to get her scent where the car was, and if so, where did it lead them? Were the cell phone and the car found in the direction of the mall on the road she would have taken to go to the mall? Or in a different direction? Thanks for any information anyone can give me. I seem to have missed some information about this case.

some of above is from her, some from FB- and there is a newspaper article
with a friend stating the opposite- that Jen was thinking of separating from him

No information yet if search dogs hit on anything.

I pray that will not be the case. That she had some inner need to just go away for awhile. However, I do want to point out that not long ago a missing young wife, left for work and never arrived. The husband was "beat up" in some of the media Fact is, (Not sure if I am allowed to say this?) A somewhat well known blogger who talks about body language and lies and eyes wrote an indepth piece on Whitney's husband clear to her comments of him not out hanging posters or looking for his wife, etc etc and came away with her "professional" opinion that he will invariably be charged with her murder. Well, it ended up a neighbor stalked her and took her life:( Just another very good example that one really shouldn't form a solid opinion on how someone acts/reacts or what one thinks the expected demeanor of a spouse/mate/partner should be. That young lady who was killed was Whitney Heichel.

Thank you for this- and very true. To clarify though, I didn't mean to imply that the husband had to be involved- I meant I find the idea of, as you mention, a neighbour or other local creep more believable, in an abduction narrative, than an online connection- that's completely just my opinion though and I am by no means an expert.

it appears to have been tossed out the driver's side of the van.

Can you be a little more specific? The van was found parked in a parking lot, so how can we know for certain what side of the vehicle it was tossed out of?

I think it would be more helpful to know what specific side of the road it was on...the North side or South side? I don't think we can really accurately determine what direction the vehicle was going when the phone was tossed because it could have been thrown from the driver's seat out the passengers' window.

But we can speculate that it was more than likely tossed in one of these manners:
North of road: tossed from driver's side driving East (towards Norwich)
North of road: tossed from passenger's side driving West (away)
South of road: tossed form driver's side dring West (away)
South of road: tossed from passenger's side driving East (to town)

Also.....the phone could have been tossed from a different vehicle and not Jen's van or it could have been placed there via other means.

amberdawn723 thanks for this, and your earlier post on the topic- I agree it would be interesting to know. I've looked at the map of where the car was and where the phone was a bunch and it leaves so many options.

With throwing the phone from the passengers side... Could a local tell us how wide that road is? I've never thrown a phone out a window but I've thrown apple cores (heh) and always found it surprisingly difficult to hit the opposite berm from the passengers side- particularly if the car was moving at any kind of speed. I guess someone with better physics (FAR better physics) than me, could probably give us an equation about weight of an object, speed a vehicle was travelling and power required to cover a certain horizontal distance- which at this point I almost feel would be helpful, which probably shows I think about this case waaaay too much.

:floorlaugh: lol

I love when people can admit that they're a bit obsessed with something! (and I mean this in the most positive of ways, because hey, we're ALL obsessed with this one) :)

Note: The usual (and about 20 miles shorter than going all the way to Cortland and up I81) route to Syracuse from Norwich is SR23, to CR16, to SR26 north/SR80 to Georgetown, then SR80 to SR13 to Cazenovia. Where her phone was found was 1/4 mile past the CR16 turn off towards Syracuse.

So, either she goes the LONG way to Syracuse, or she missed her turn, or she tossed the phone and was headed elsewhere, or the phone was a plant!

LOL! I didn't notice that.

Yeah, I was trying to think positively, but couldn't help but notice that it's going to be awhile before this event even occurs. I figure it might take a while to plan it, gather supplies, gather volunteers, that sort of thing?

But the sooner the better, right!!? She's already been missing 6 1/2 weeks.

i dunno about this...
pretty big search party was formed in less than 3 days, and that included someone securing a firehouse for volunteers' use, someone else securing donated snow shoes, and food, drinks, etc.

three weeks is a very long time.

remember, GR publicly stated that he had given up hope, a week or so into Jennifer's disappearance. did something change his mind?

My staff is also working with a billboard company for a digital billboard and should have something new to report on that next week too.)
~ snipped for space.

Lavanda ~ why not use the electronic billboard on I-88 between exits 15 and 14 (headed west toward JR's home)? It is MUCH closer than Syracuse. Using both certainly makes sense, but prioritizing securing the one closer to home makes more sense.

Just a thought.
