Very delayed response, but based on some rummaging on Ancestry, the KY John Corbett has a different birthdate than our NY John Corbett.
Assuming this is the right one, ours was born July 10, 1937 in Watertown, NY (upstate, on Lake Ontario, like our other known locations). On the 1940 census, he is living at home in Watertown, with both parents and two older and two younger brothers. Then, on the 1950 census, he is living in the Children's Home of Jefferson County, along with his two younger brothers and one older (the other older was a ward on a farm in Teresa, NY, working unpaid at age 14). It appears their father passed away in 1945 in Watertown, but I'm not sure what happened to their mother.
