Isn't there long term construction being done on the Belt Pkwy in Howard Beach?
I wonder if any of the DOT employees have been questioned.

One of three lanes in either direction may be closed 10 am to 2 pm weekdays and 10 pm to 5 am weeknights. Two of three lanes in either direction may be closed 1 am to 5 am weeknights to facilitate NYCDEP sewer reconstruction through September 2017. Additionally one of two lanes on the Nassau Expressway exit ramp to eastbound Belt Parkway from 115th Street to 128th Street will be closed.

Random thought- I wonder if the Erskine St DOT traffic camera records and how many days it saves. If this person in the sketch was seen on the bike path by a Utility worker and he went west towards East New York, he would be seen walking on camera.

I was watching the weather channel earlier and they said the size of Hermine is much smaller compared to Sandy. Hoping it tracks East and stays away!!! Either way stay safe to all my fellow NYers here!

More importantly I am hoping what you had referenced from your earlier post on the guardian angels FB has been checked out by LE. With the storm surge I am worried that anything they were referencing will be washed away.

I would also like to add, that I was thinking since the Angels have been patrolling the area, could they possibly be referencing 'evidence' to draw the perp out to try and cover up what they thought they took care of. Between the Angels patrolling and the cameras set up there is much more of a likelihood to catch someone on camera. PLUS..maybe this is a stretch but could Phil Vetrano have asked for help locating a false subject (with LE being in on it) and then in turn LE says that person came to light then less than 24hrs later a sketch is released. Maybe to show that..hey look one person was asked to come in for questioning and they came in, so we have a sketch..you BETTER come in. I just feel that there's a TON of tactic going on here.

Sorry for my running on. Just unloading my thoughts here. As a side note I have mutual friends of Karinas on SM and haven't seen anything out of the ordinary in there posts regarding her. Nothing but love for her and hopes in finding this worthless scum!

Karina's father has made a memorial for his daughter at the site of where she was found. He made it all by hand and all "natural material" found in Spring Creek Park (as per the page update today). He has posted a photo on his facebook page.

If you happen to go look, it is mainly made up of rocks. So that answers the question someone had a few pages back, if in fact there were rocks in the area.

That legal strategy was devised to stop the clock on statutes of limitation for sex crimes, but it also points to the frequency of instances where investigators have DNA but no suspect.

quotes Chief of Detectives, Boyce saying

"We also have DNA from her fingernails. Probably the strongest we have."

and Mr. Vetrano tells this "predator"

"The world is against him. I'm coming for him."

Interesting to read that some homicide detectives believe K. had someone stalking her... following this line of thought, I wonder where the possible stalker(s) knew her from ?

The people for the most part appreciated our presence but on a very promising note it also generated some pictures that were sent to us from 2015 that seem to match the witness’s image."
