PH still could've made the call. Panic b/c of all the 911 calls, try to distance/distract, but it would have been a poor panic ridden decision.

So the SK calls the Mom, and says he is a Dr. Ok so the SK either is the Dr. or as some think that the Dr. wouldn't make that call himself but rather the SK trying to deflect. However, how about if the Dr did make this call, yet denies it was him, state someone must know he is a dr. and lives there and is trying to pin this all on me. Clever, if the SK knows he left no forensics behind to pin him on it. Could end up being a perfect crime in his mind.

Now that the doctor is okay to discuss I have a question: does an E.M.S. director have connections or contacts with funeral homes? I am thinking about the odd fact of the victims facing East. I did not know until I read a comment here that it is a tradition for people to be buried facing East. Would an EMS person beware of this?

Maybe this is a crazy question, but I guess it won't be the first.

I can imagine why they would interview this Dr. several times. I'm sure they questioned if he had any enemies or conflicts with a neighbor or even a patient in the past. Perhaps he had a one time disagreement with a neighbor over a parking space and there has been some sort of contention between the two ever since. I believe the sk is obsessive-compulsive and has some animosity towards the doctor. I wasn't always sure that Shannon fell victim to the sk until it was revealed about the call from the doctor and the doctor stating that he didn't call. So now we are sure that the sk was in that neighborhood. Being that he is a former LE surgeon maybe an officer was injured in some way, was operated on and didn't fully recover after surgery and for whatever reason wasn't allowed back on the job. Maybe this individual was seeking to go out on disablity and needed the Doctor to state something specific so that he could collect money and the doctor refused, thus, the individual is no longer LE and not collecting monies he deems that he deserves.

There is a connection between the Doctor and the sk and it may be a very subtle connection--nothing that is quite noticeable or shouldn't be a mountain made out of a mole hill.

So in essence, it could be a former or current disgruntled EMS employee of which the doctor supervises, a neighbor who felt slighted by the doctor, or a former or current LE individual who wasn't able to go out on full disability and still works or quit or terminated still without any disability.


But, what do I know?

Hi, Sistah Sleuth. There are several possibilities.
1. That the doctor foolishly called Gilbert's mother and went public to the media and killed Shannan and is the serial killer.
2. Everything except the "and is the serial killer."
3. The doctor did foolishly call Gilbert's mother and lied about Shannan's safety for reasons best known by himself.
4. The doctor did call Gilbert's mother, but she somehow misunderstood the specifics of his statement.
5. Shannan's killer called Gilbert's mother and pretended to be the doctor.
6. The serial killer who had murdered Shannan called her mother.

I'm split between possibilities, but as you said, what do I know?

He's a former police surgeon; just because he left that job doesn't mean he's no longer a doctor.

Wow. I really don't like him either. He refers the murders as "a horrible, mean thing." Mean? Kids on the playground are mean. Just a strange choice of words.

The bodies all facing east...this could lead to the SK being religious. Since the victims were call girls, perhaps as like most SK they deem them sinful and maybe in his own sick way wanted to put them out of the misery. Then burying them EAST, since in christianity it is believed that burying in the east is for when Jesus returns at the end of time that he will come from the east therefore he will find the victims.
