Thanks for all you sleuths do to help solve this case and remember these ladies who were killed and thrown out on the side of a desolate Hwy in LI and also the Ac victims along with Shannan. It is so heartbreaking.

He refused to elaborate.

The stunning revelation comes as police are exploring a possible link between the serial killer -- suspected of dumping the bodies of eight victims along a remote Suffolk beachfront -- and the grisly murders of four hookers in Atlantic City in 2006.

"Our homicide detectives are in touch with the [Atlantic City] police," a Suffolk police spokesman told reporters.​

Thanks to you both WM and Shadowwraiths, Do you guys think that since the article mentions HA that the new info has to do with his wife's case? It is a bold statement for LE to make, although they might be trying to work on the unsub's head to get him/her to make a move, right? LE always has a reason for going public with info. This is such encouraging news.

Has anyone read about a Dr who could be involved in the case? He was referred to in a comment so it might be nothing.

WM, it might be good to have a thread about the linking of the 2 cases, AC and LI but it also might be a bit premature. Thanks for the sticky info.

Reading those entries in your link I feel weak in my knees. It took 3 months for LE or whoever to find the 911 tape.

Her family found not only her earring but also her jacket.

At the end of the call, the perp caught up to Shannan. In the background you could hear some shuffling and Shannan screaming and saying "let go of me!". The phone went dead and no one heard anything else. I changed some basic words to post this here and stay within TOS.

ETA: Also, it wasn't one 22/23 min call she made to 911. She called once then called them back. And then the neighbor called 911. It took 45 min for LE to get to the scene. Amazing unless that is normal for response time there.

Possible that JB informed SG that callgirls that he had often seen earlier had disappeared? Maybe he fueled her fear by saying that he thought they could have been murdered. She's in a "state" of paranoia to begin with. He then insists she leave. So, she erratically dials 911, only now she's thinking she's really messed up because the cops will be after her getting all into trouble (I also read in some research that callgirls consider it totally forbidden to call 911). So she bolts to the neighbor, hoping he will harbor her and let her hide for awhile. Only, that doesn't happen, he calls what? 911. Now she's triplely messed up. So she bolts into the brush down toward the road. And who just happens to pass by? The murderer, who trolls there for his callgirl victims. He asks her if he can give her a ride, and she knows she has to get out of there, so she climbs in.

Do you think it's possible the SK is trying to frame JB? Maybe he knew his habits (through message boards, stalking, observation, research, w/e) and he knew that JB frequently had call girls over there and would stalk them after they left and purposely dumped the bodies in that area so they would appear to be connected further to JB? Far fetched but just an idea.

wonder if cops have any idea what types of clothing the girls wore when they went missing? probably not..maybe they know what Shannon had on that night from the driver and JB etc.

short skirts? heels? wigs? high end? low end? sexy? normal? s&m?

is there organized crime out there? maybe they don't like free agents out there...maybe if you step out onto the turf, they will catch you and put you out of biz. ( just a thought) .

But getting back to the SK theories...I think the dude is keeping the clothes.

also some speculate that he is killing girls that represent an actual person who may have rejected him or someone he hates. Ted Bundy had a type, and that was a girl who broke up with him. But, that said...his first killing may have happened when he was 12 or so ...and that was an old woman in his neighborhood, who he may have strangled with her bathrobe sash.

I really sense a cohort for this killer...if he is all alone , then he is very brazen to chase a screaming crazy girl around a quiet cul-de-sac in the wee morning hours....somehow I feel having a co-hort could push you to proceed with plans beyond your personal comfort zone...

Here are two theories that I have entertained, FWIW.

The killer is setting someone up. The killer may be following online reviews of escorts that he has hired in the past and stalking them thru other bloggers who have appointments with these women on the review sites.

I've considered that the killer may also be a woman scorned. A woman who learned online that her husband is philandering and follows his online 'footprints'. (I personally know a woman who did this and subsequently posed as another woman and was having conversations with her hubby online. Only after they made arrangements to hook up did she 'come out' and reveal her identity. Her online name, The Black Widow.) This wife would probably have a nice garden.....

The Cohort Theory. I can see this if the killer is wealthy and has 'people', a butler, driver, assistant, etc., who sets up the appointments for him. The assistant knows his bosses 'type' and arranges the meeting. It is an uninfomed cohort who doesn't know the girls real names so he has no way of knowing 'the boss' is killing them (at this point in time I think he would suspect, tho)

I have even considered the possibility that the 'boss' may instruct the cohort to throw burlap bags of 'oyster shells' off the parkway from a recent oyster roast or something. "Just throw them off the side of the road, the burlap will disintegrate." he would instruct his cohort.

I know this probably sounds like something out of a crime novel but my mind is always ticking with possibilities.:innocent:

like in the case of Bob Crane ( is it?) he and his friend liked to have prostitutes over and they would film their sex-capades...although Crane was the one who ended up dead, unfortunatley.

hope they are getting close...I bet there are a ton of weirdos out there...

Based on those escort review sites, there certainly ARE a ton a weirdos out there and they have no respect whatsoever for these girls. It's so sad.
