Man arrested for watching *advertiser censored* while driving
A man has been arrested in New York state after being caught watching a pornographic film while driving.
Police say 35 year-old Andre Gainey was driving near the Schenectady Police Station when he was spotted by an officer in an unmarked car.
According to a report on the msnbc website, the officer saw Gainey watching the film on a DVD screen inside his Mercedes.
A police spokesman said: "The movie was played in a way where it was easily seen by anybody that was behind the vehicle, like the detective was. It could've been a family that was behind him. Someone walking by would have easily seen this because the windows weren't tinted at all."
Gainey was arrested under a state law that prohibits public displays of offensive material when visible by others, including from inside a car.
Gainey was also charged on several other counts, including watching a film while driving, and driving with a suspended license.
He is currently being held in the Schenectady County Jail, without bail.
