That is an amazing catch! Looks VERY similar to unknown girl, and says eyes are green. You should forward that on to the police.

Now they're narrowing down "West Coast" to "Washington State" as the home for the now-ID'd (but apparently not publicly) 18 year old!
Seems she was NOT ID'd by her family, though...as it states she was ID'd by an anonymous tip and THEN they reached out to her family.

Wow, that's almost more bizarre!
"Police say a CNN viewer in Maryland identified the young woman, who mysteriously turned up in Manhattan two weeks ago, claiming to have no memory of her family, her home or even her own name."
:waitasec: Someone in MD ID'd her? And she's from WA state?
I'm not finding anyone in the WA databases that seems to fit, but it may be b/c most don't count her as a child, and it seems the adult listings aren't as functional in many cases.
I wonder who reported her missing in WA?
Even in that article LE seemed to think she'd been on the streets longer. "Judging from her poor dental hygiene, said Lt. Christopher Zimmerman, she appeared to have been living on the streets for some time."
Could it have been a shelter or friends and not family members who reported her missing in the first place (from WA)?

Well I was searching at the above link and got a nasty message that I was overusing the system and that if the abuse continued I would be banned. Also something about who can use the system and missing/sleuthing websites do not qualify.
I swear it's a miracle that any missing person is found. Washington state is one of the worst for having to jump through hoops. Kids are written off as runaways at first glance. Missing don't get matched with the dead, criminals go free because of it.
Sorry for the rant, but it pisses me off.

Ha ha, that site isn't a fan of me after my searching either! :crazy:
I was going through all of the recently missing ones from a few WA sites and there was no one that even seemed to remotely fit - and even the sites that listed ones that said it was those who'd been missing as of the last few weeks were really more like the last few days...and we know it was early October for Jane Doe since she was first seen 8 or 9 October in NY.
I think that happens in many places. I have actually seen an increase in Wa. State to try to solve many missing persons cases, a fair amount are cold cases which makes me think they are not giving up.

I'm not seeing any photos of the two girls. Why on earth would a missing persons website make you call or write and ask to see a picture? Or is it just me that can't see the pics?
Both of these girls seem like good bets to me. Neither of them have dental x-rays available, which may suggest life-long neglect of her dental health. It would seem as though the parents neglected to get dental care for their daughters.

Boy, they really want all the help they can get to help find these missing people, don't they??? (Said with all the sarcasm I can muster. )
That is just so sucky that they will ban people who are searching too hard!

I thought the girl was first discovered in NY on Oct 9th? Courtney was last seen on the 19th. Kacie, however, was missing since the 1st of Oct.
The date she went missing indicates she went missing too late to possibly be the girl in question. The girl in question was found 2 weeks ago, and Courtney has gone missing on October 19.
So it's not Courtney.
She is listed as 5' 9" so she is too tall if the height is listed correctly.

I think it could still be her. If you look at a lot of the amber alerts for missing children their height and weight is always off. I definately wouldn't rule it out.
