Very, very worried for Nick, and praying that he is found ASAP. Couldn't imagine what his parents must be going through!

Terrible development. Could he possibly have been bullied at school?

My stepdaughter goes to school with him, I'm going to ask her when I see her this weekend. this was the first thought in my head too.

Has it been said that he harmed himself? Poor boy and that poor family, so sad.

This is so heartbreaking! From what I've read there was not any warning of this. Non criminal could mean he had a medical event or accident, it doesn't necessarily mean suicide. I had a friend who had a stroke at 16 with no warning/no prior health issues.

So so tragic.
I remember being a freshman in h.s. (When the dinosaurs roamed..). Worst year of my life. Everything was different and new.
And the hormones raging!! Really a tough age.

My thoughts and prayers are with Nick's family. RIP beautiful boy :rose:

You could not pay me to relive 7th and 8th grade. 9th got better but I'm a girl and I think that freshmen year is tougher for boys than girls a lot of times. My nephew is a freshman and he's definitely in his awkward stage. RIP nick.

Breaks my heart. Thats why i love teaching kids that age, they need people (who arent their parents) to help them along and listen. Just heartbreaking :(

"His uncle, Donald Donnelly, Jr., issued the following statement on behalf of the family:"My brother and wife are waiting for the results from the Medical Examiner's Office, and they would like to express their gratitude for all the love and support from the community. He always greeted you with a smile on his face and went out of his way to say hello. He was an excellent student, great athlete, in two sports, wrestling and baseball. He had many friends and will be missed by his two brothers, Luke, who is a junior, and Kyle, who is in 6th grade."

"He said Nickolas Donnelly was not bullied and was well-loved and popular."

Article was just updated 19 minutes ago so I'm not sure if the statement from the uncle was included before.
