Thanks for the heads up on the breaking news kimi_SFC I found the following read interesting:

Numerous people received automated phone calls from Homeland Security in the night, advising them to lock their doors and turn on their outside house lights.
Kennedy Road forms a T with Route 374 about 1.7 miles southeast of Clinton Correctional.
BARKING DOGS
Saranac resident Thomas Lasalle was bunkered in his garage with his family on Bucks Corners Road just before 11 a.m., watching as the search unfolded around him.
He said, from what he was hearing, that searchers were pushing through a three-mile stretch off woods near his house in an attempt to flush out the escapees.
Lasalle estimated there was a law-enforcement officer posted about every 100 feet in that area.
“Hearing dogs barking from the mountain,” he said.
Earlier in the morning he had been told by law enforcement he could leave his home but would not be able to return until Matt and Sweat were captured or the area was clear.
“Nobody can leave now,” Lasalle said. “People who have left have a car police escort.”

I would like to know how often the area behind the walls is checked. How long has the renovations/work been going on at the prison? I do not think that this was done in one day/nite. If they were suppose to be sewing during the day (I take it that is when the work was being done) then they were not sewing but were cutting pipes and making the noise when the work was being done.

Also from your link, regarding the school closure:

"That decision was based both on police supposition that that they might be closing in on Matt and Sweat and the fact that the operation would impair bus pickup of students, Parks said.

The closed roads, he explained, “are the main arteries for our bus route,” he said. “All those students who live on those roads, we wouldn’t be able to pick them up.”

And searchers don’t need the extra complication of having to board and search buses at roadblocks, he said.

Police have been tremendously helpful to the district all week, “with information and support and resources,” he said.

“When they call and suggest we close school, I’m going to go along with that suggestion.”"

I hadnt thought about the school bus searches, and that just made me realize that would be a horrifying hostage opportunity as well.

They are now going to regular programming but will break with any new events. Switched to CNN coverage.

Please don't. These two men are convicted murderers, it doesn't make a bit of difference if they are raciest or not. Who cares? We already know they are monsters.

Well alrighty then. Now I am reminded why I quit posting around these parts.

Geez why did it take so long to find their scent?
Why would they stay so close to the prison?

Nothing makes any sense.

Lets all keep in mind that "zeroed in" may still involve hundreds of acres. For instance, they may know the patch of woods and trying to surround the main roads around it but it is tough to watch every foot of every stretch of road.

I am not convinced yet. These guys could slip through and enter an entirely new patch of woods or mountains.

The previous husband, father to her son is talking.

Mitchell slept with several other men before she hooked up with Lyle Mitchell, Premo said.

Thats quite a different opinion of her than the son had. I tend to believe the ex.
I do feel sorry for the boy but he was just plain wrong in his interview.

CNN Coverage poor rating again for Ashley Banfield due to follow statement made to resident on lockdown "I live one state over and I am even locking my home at night from fear, I cannot imagine what it is like for you there" C'mon Banfield your trying to trying to compare your fear with the resident you are conversing with on lockdown is ridiculous! As you stated at least twice in the same conversation that you are a state away does not do anything but make you look over dramatic. Not a fan of Banfield on CNN reporting she dramatizes more than anyone else.

LOL Carol Costello CNN wanted to know where they would go to the bathroom!!!

I heard that also - and thought the same thing and the joke "Does an escaped criminal ***t like a bear in the woods?" oh no! they may not have packed their tp. haha
