GREECE, N.Y. (WROC) — An Amber Alert has been canceled and the two young children forcibly taken from a Greece foster home Monday night have been found safe.

Authorities say 3-year-old Shekeria Cash and 5-year-old Dimitri Cash were found safe out of state Wednesday evening. Greece Police Chief Andrew Forsythe said Wednesday the kids are in police custody and no longer in danger.

The kids were found in Mobile, Alabama, tracked by a rental car that was rented in the Rochester area.

“While this is the best outcome that we could ask for, this investigation it is far from over,” Chief Forsythe said. “Every person responsible for this abduction will be sought and apprehended. They will be held responsible for what they did.”

Thousands of miles away, hidden under blankets on the floor of a car, two children were found safe, two days after being kidnapped in their pajamas from their Greece foster home.

Was it the bio-mom or maybe the bio-grandma that was just arrested? It's the only thing I can think of that makes sense...
It's hard to say. Bio-mom would be at the top of my list of any females involved in terms of motive, and LE was looking for her. However, the Chief said in the first presser * that she hasn't had as much involvement with the children as their father has over the last several years. MOO

Dimitri Cash Sr. continues to be a person of interest to Greece Police, who are investigating the abduction.

13WHAM News has learned Cash lost custody over an investigation into abuse doled out as corporal punishment. 13WHAM's investigation has uncovered disturbing details.

An expert medical witness who testified before family court said the older children - a girl and a boy - suffered injuries consistent with being beaten with an extension cord.

His daughter, the oldest, described how she was beaten with a plank.

"She could describe with specificity how she was hit with a plank and how it would cause her bottom to bleed and how she would have to use a damp Kleenex to stop the bleeding," said Polen.

Drawn on that plank was a smiley face.

"That's a fundamental defect in parenting," she said. "The violence both parents inflicted on those two older children - it was just a matter of time before those younger children became victims."

... The two older siblings are also in foster care. It's unclear if they live in the same home. If so, they were left behind.

Cash is raising money on - and since the Amber Alert, he has garnered thousands of signatures in support of his custody battle.

At the end of the hearing, one of the justices cited Dimitri Cash's own words.

"Concerning to me is also the father's statement that you can do what you want, when asked about physical discipline," Judge Patrick NeMoyer said. "You can do what you want with your own children."

The woman in jail in Montgomery, Alabama appears to be from Florida. Her Facebook page shows a direct connection to the father of the children who were abducted.

Her name is Kimara J. Pluviose. On her booking information from the Montgomery County Jail it says "arrested for other agency."

Although I didn't see the connection to the father, as the article states.
