Wednesday, March 23rd:
*Sentencing Hearing (@ 9am ET) - OH – Brantley Santiago (3 yrs) (April, 2018, Orwell) – for *Samantha M. Olah (26/now 29) indicted (11/28/18), charged (12/4/18) & arraigned (12/6/18) with 2 counts of murder, 2 counts of involuntary manslaughter, 1 count of felonious assault, 1 count of 2nd degree endangerment of children & 1 count of 3rd degree endangering children. Plead not guilty. $100K cash or surety bond. Bond reduced (12/14/18) to $25K. Out on bond.
Trial was set to begin on 2/15/22 & ended 2/16/22. Both found guilty of all counts. Sentencing hearings on 3/17/22 for Valoria & on 3/23/22 for Samantha.

2/16/22 Update: Judgement entry re: Attorneys William Bobulsly & David Perdue have objected to the following attorneys viewing the testimony of any witness on Zoom: Gary Pasqualone, George Moscarino, John Moscarino, Lee Moscarino & Michael Shroge. The objection was sustained. The aforementioned attorneys will not be prohibited from paying for & obtaining transcripts of any witnessess' testimony after the trial has concluded. So Ordered. Filed by David W. Perdue attorney on behalf of Valorie Olah & William Bobulsky attorney on behalf of Samantha Olah.
Both were found guilty. Sentencing hearing for Valorie on 3/17/22 & for Samantha on 3/23/22. 3/17/22: Valoria: Brief filed by State regarding merger with cert of service by Gene Barrett. Motion for extra ordinary fees filed with proof of service by David Perdue. Judgment entry. Court grants counsel's motion for fees in the amount of $9,735.60. So ordered. Motion Entry & certificate for appointed counsel fees-approved.

3/17/22 Update: Valorie: sentenced to a minimum of 11 years & maximum of 16 ½ years in prison.
*Beverly J. Santiago (35/now 38) “mom” 12/7/19: Plead guilty to endangering child & manslaughter charges were dismissed & will be sentenced after other trials. 2/17/22 Update: Sentencing on 3/25/22.

Brantleys' grandfather posted that she was given the max for child endangering but they haven't updated the court website yet so I don't know how long she got.

I guess Samantha got 3 years. SENTENCING ENTRY TO PRISON FILED. DEFT CAME WITH COUNSEL. THE COURT FINDS THAT ON 2-24-22, DEFT, UPON PLEAS OF NOT GUILTY, HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY BY A DULY IMPANELED JURY AND CONVICTED, OF THE FOLLOWING CHARGE IN THE INDICTMENT, UNDER COUNT SEVEN OF THE INDICTMENT, TO WIT: ENDANGERING CHILDREN, R.C. 2919.22(A)(E), F-3. Santiago (35/now 38) “mom” indicted (11/28/18), charged (12/4/18) & arraigned (12/6/18) with 1 count involuntary manslaughter & 1 count of endangering children. Plead not guilty. $25K cash or surety bond.
Trial was set to begin on 2/10/20.
1/23/20 Update: Santiago took a plea deal & plead no contest Thursday to one count of endangering children, court records state. A charge of involuntary manslaughter was dismissed in her case. Sentencing on 2/10/20. Awaiting results of other cases for sentencing date. 1/30/20 Update: Motion filed for substitution of counsel-attorney April R. Grabman.
3/14/20: According to the Ohio Dept. of Health, Ohio's COVID 19 pandemic will peak around that time or in early May. Courts will continue to schedule things for their calendars. 2/17/22: Sentencing hearing on 3/25/22.
*Valorie D. Olah - (57/now 60) – 2/16/22: Jury: found guilty & sentenced on 3/17/22 to minimum of 11 years & maximum of 16 ½ years.

Today didn't go as we had hoped.
Sadly, a plea deal was offered to Beverly Scott ( not to be referred to as Santiago) it was locked in. So, the Judge's hands were tied and he had to go with what was done before he was assigned this case.
