So many possible connections, considering proximity and lifestyle. It could go on and on.

Let's keep this thread limited to a 50 mile or so radius around Middletown. If we try to stretch out too far we'll only blur the picture. And there's plenty right here to sleuth.

That said, if anyone is aware of clusters in other Ohio areas, please send a pm to me, and we'll address them in a separate thread. As a reminder, we already have threads for Chilicothe and Cleveland.

Here's a note to add to my instructions from last night. If anyone comes across similar and fairly recent missing/murdered cases, roughly along I-73 between Cincinnati and Columbus, post about them here. Columbus to Portsmouth can go in the Chillicothe thread.

Hope that makes sense. If not, shoot me a pm. There are so many cases spread out around that particular region that we can be more productive if we keep them organized in small groups.

I unfortunately worked at drug rehab not far from Middletown that a lot of people from Middletown came to. I believe I’ve met one of the girls there.

Laura Howard, 50, was found deceased in Middleboro in July 2014:
A Springboro woman who went missing Thursday was found dead late Friday night in Middletown, police say.

Details surrounding the death of Laura Howard, 50, were not released. The circumstances of Howard's death are under investigation, Springboro Det. Nathan Anderkin said Saturday.

I didn't find any updates on her cause of death or manner of death.

What I find interesting is they were both from Fairfield and both found by creeks. Plus both were missing on Sundays...Chelsea left sometime in afternoon and reported missing by Monday morning. Katelyn missing after midnight on Saturday night...sometime into early morning hours.
 
So I had to go looking....just can't leave things alone lol! Here is the map of both girls' (chelsea was found behind Heritage Glen by creek and Katelyn lived on Dorshire Dr).

This was current position of construction July 2012....10 months after Katelyn murdered and 3 months after Chelsea). No idea how long this was in progress but Chelsea was found just beyond this worksite (take right across bridge and down Creekside Ave on left). Patterson Ave is next light up to worksite's left and down Patterson and Dorshire is there. IDK this worksite would be perfect scouting location for anything going on. Just a thought...probably already looked into or was maybe too late in year after their murders.

I'm not sure we posted this article about Lindsay Bogan in this thread. It's worth a mention, imo, because I believe her death is key to at least some of the six women still missing.

I just posted this in Lindsay's thread.

About one month after Lindsay disappeared in 2015, LE went to the residence of Steve Sexton to serve a warrant, and found 13 meth labs. Steve Sexton is the brother, and alleged partner in crime, of Eric Sexton, Lindsay's pimp/bf.

Did Lindsay give up information on the brothers to LE?

Was she killed because of it?

Did that info contribute to probable cause required to get the warrant?

Even if she said nothing to LE, if the brothers thought she snitched, that could have been enough to bring on her demise, which started a chain reaction. Some of the missing six might also be dead. Others might be in hiding.

The other possibility is that the warrant LE attempted to serve was related to LB's disappearance. Chicken or the egg?

Either way, I believe the dots comnect from the Sexton brothers, to LB, to the missing women.

Whatever this is, it sounds more like a large organized crime situation than a serial killer. If Middletown is a drug trafficking and sex trafficking hub, then some of the missing women could have been sent to "work" out of state to keep them from talking to the police. Then if they refused to cooperate or looked like they were going to talk, they might have been killed out of state which would make them harder to identify and link to Middletown, OH. Some might still be alive, just not in the area anymore. JMO.
 
I don't know large it is, but I do agree it's a drug and sex trafficking operation as opposed to a SK.
 
I grew up down the street from Chelsey Coe and rode the school bus with her. This area in particular is beautiful from the outside but has such a dark underbelly when it comes to drug use and other illegal activities. I've heard of cases (Especially in Middletown), where someone has overdosed in a home and the inhabitants move the body to a hidden location in order to keep themselves out of trouble. It would not surprise me if that is the case for most of these women.

I want to point out another disappearance that also occurred during the month of September not far from Middletown.

Paige Valisa Johnson disappeared on September 23, 2010 from Covington, Kentucky and she is still missing.

Covington, Kentucky is right across the Ohio River from Cincinnati and is 39 miles from Middletown.

I recall that Paige Johnson and Katelyn Markham had blonde hair.
