My guess is that they brought her away long before TJ came round to get the girls. Sunday night, Sunday morning perhaps. And everything that was witnessed and heard by TJ and his father Sunday afternoon was just an act.

SBM - agreed, just had to point out how things supposedly played out. for the sake of completeness, you know. and to illustrate how incredibly implausible it is that there's any degree of truth to this alleged kidnapping story whatsoever.

So I would still very much like to know when someone other than Angela or Steven... or Steven's family... saw Elaina? I'm sure it's here and I just missed it. I thought it was Saturday but we didn't know time of day. Let's for a moment assume it was Saturday that Angela showed up needing a place to stay with the girls. Once she did that, did she / steven/ both of them go anywhere else, or were both at home right up until TJ showed up Sunday to get the girls? Anyone go out in the middle of the night for a pack of cigarettes or anything, for example?

Ferretmommy & cherubcollector, welcome to our forum!! I'm so sorry it's under circumstances like this, and pray for the SAFE return of Elaina ASAP.

Yup, I thought the same thing about the Benadryl OD possibility. I believe that would require more than accidental double dosing though, as per another member's post in response to mine about the topic a couple of pages back.

Oral Thrush is just an oral yeast infection, btw, to anyone who's wondering. Kinda sounds gross that way but then that might just be my slightly immature side showing. (no offense, I mean my own son had it and he breastfed so you can guess that I got it too, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I just think "yeast infection" and "gross" are commonly associated words... I'm not making this better... Foot In Mouth Syndrome strikes again.)

In the Baby Lisa Irwin forum, we discussed the Benadryl/coldmeds overdose possibility quite extensively. Baby Lisa had a cold, and went missing in a similar fashion as this. But we had a few pediatric nurses telling us that it would be really difficult to kill a baby with just a double or even triple dose. It usually takes more for a death to occur. And a child would probably vomit much of it up first.

But I do agree with the sad possibility that she got a hold of stronger drugs that a parent might have laying around. :rose:

Yes, Childrens Services interviewed Kylee, but we have heard nothing more. I know when TJ left Kylee with me and took Terry Sr. back to get Elaina that first day, Kylee was crying when she got out of the car and ran to me. I asked her what was wrong, she said she's "scared of Steven" (the boyfriend). I picked her up and sat rocking her, and I told her it's going to be okay, she's never gonna have to see Steven again.

Oh boy , that's so sad. It's really great you guys are local and right there to help TJ at this time.

The mention, upthread, of the baby possibly having a black eye and a bloody nose, really worries me. A baby that young can die from an injury like that because of internal bleeding.

Today, my little girl, who is 7, went to her first gymnastics show. She received four ribbons and a fake "gold" medal. The ribbons didn't show places, but she figured it out. Blue was the best. And after three events, she didn't have a blue ribbon. She realized this as she was waiting for the vault. A girl next to her had two blue ribbons. My girl broke down in tears. She buried her face in her hands. And it was her turn to go. The coach knelt down next to her and gave her a pep talk for a good minute. I wanted to run across the floor and hug her and tell her that she needed to suck it up. But all I could do was sit there. My girl finally got up and gave her scoresheet to the judges. Then she did the best vault of any girl in her group. She got a 9.5. And she knew it. Her coach reached out her hands, and my girl slapped them fast, over and over, and then pumped her fist in the air. She got a blue ribbon and walked back to her group wearing a big grin.

I really hope Elaina Steinfurth gets a blue ribbon some day.

is there any way angela could be on here reading this thread? I wouldn't want to see her have this kind of information, although she'd have to be pretty ignorant to not already know this is happening.

oops !!

You just made me cry. What a beautiful wish for our sweet Elaina.

As a former gymnast, give your little one a big ole congrats from me. I loved vaults and I'm glad she killed it!

My thoughts too katydid. With injuries like those, I would think she would need medical attention. Worries me also about her 'napping' so much. I believe these injuries could be 'the why' she didn't want the baby's daddy to see her....and why she knew she'd never see her again. Could it be she wanted to hide her away until the injuries were no longer apparent?

Oh, poor baby. Somebody needs to talk :maddening:.

I suspect that too. Although it's weird that she then goes and yaps about it to others. :waitasec:

:dunno: I agree...that's the part I just don't get. Why she would talk about it to anyone??? I don't believe her story of a 'kidnapper' because it just doesn't make sense and it was just 'too convenient' of a story too close in time to her refusing to hand over the baby to her father. Someone in that house took baby Elaina out of that house. IF it wasn't one of the three adults present, then I'm inclined to believe someone else could've been in the house but my own opinion is that at least one of those three know where the baby is. :banghead:

I agree. I'm of the opinion that SK's mama didn't want her little boy to go to jail. Cover up. I hope I'm wrong.

Otherwise, wouldn't she convince her son to return the child? The jail time ain't worth it, buddy!

She seems to have such a dislike of Angela that the only reason I can see her lying is if she thinks she is protecting her son (or husband or herself, I guess).

It seems every case there are theories of accidents...too much Benadryl, accidental OD, SIDS and then scared parents covered it up, etc. Has there ever been a case where a child accidentally died and the parents covered it up? I can't think of any. If it is an accident you dial 911, not fake a kidnapping.

*ducking* kidding, don't throw tomatoes please

SBM - just wanting to look carefully at the events here and make sure I'm picturing this all correctly.

So.. Steven is inside. Then Angela goes inside and is in there for 5-10 minutes (not screaming and crying - and apparently not checking on Elaina either, even though she's supposed to be fetching her - I say this because she didn't freak out about her baby being missing until half an hour after she went inside).

Then Steven's mom goes inside, too. THEN Angela screams and cries, telling Steven's mother that if she gives her baby to TJ she'll never get to see her again, and spends a good 15-20 minutes carrying on to Steven/Steven's mom about this fact. Then it gets quiet, Steven slips out at some point in this time frame, and then Angela comes out saying the baby is missing.

Maybe Steven's mother could give some insight as to what happened while Angela was sobbing and having this little heart to heart about her strong need to be a mother. That would be difficult for me to witness, personally... I'd feel so bad and sympathetic, imagining how I'd feel if someone was about to take my baby from me forever. I'd like to think that I'd never in a million years consider being an accomplice to a parental kidnapping, though, and I"m sure that isn't what happened here either. So I just can't reconcile how this child went missing while Steven, AND Angela, AND Steven's mother were inside.

I'm so confused. And mean no disrespect, and all is IMHO, etc... I just find it implausible that there could be people in the same house as a kidnapper and not notice it.

BBM Awesome point about the not checking her but to my knowledge , it seems Angela didn't ever ' freak out' even after she realized baby's missing.
