I think it's very interesting, and telling, that Angela chose the words "looked like" she had a black eye and broken nose". Like she's building her defense, or something. IDK I go back and forth between her being manipulative and stupid. Very strange and disturbing.

Why would she even need to say that? Did someone else see Elaina battered and she's afraid that they'll tell? I mean, if they find Elaina with a broken nose and a black eye now it should be an obvious choice to blame the abductor.

What kind of a parent would observe that her baby child "looks like" she has a broken nose and not take her to the doctor?
What are the odds that a baby mysteriously gets a broken nose and later disappears and no one in the house knows what happened to her?

Put some pressure on these people already.

On the black eye, broken/bloody nose...

I don't think she would tell the PD UNLESS she is saying it happened while the child was with her dad. Maybe she is "constructing a story" and saying something like - "last time he dropped her off she had a black eye, broken nose, etc". If she is hiding her so others cannot see the injuries, she surely wouldn't point those injuries out to LE and take responsibility for them happening on her watch.

Just to be clear, I don't think anything happened with the Dad. IF something happened to that sweet girl, it happened on Sat/Sun while in the care of Angela and Steve.
Poor baby -please be found soon!

Did someone say they found a twitter account for the mother earlier in the thread, or am I imagining it?

*edited - don't want to accidentally break any rules about discussing stuff from social media*

Good point. Would explain the word Crusting". My first questions would be, "if you didn't let her go with her daddy because you think he gave her a black eye and bloody nose, why did you let your older daughter go with him?" And "Why didn't you report it?"

I'm on my phone, so this is the mobile site URL, sorry.

Thank you. Since there is no suspect, I dont' think we can actually post the link though so I'm deleting it from this quote just in case.

That's also why I didn't post a link to the MySpace that uses the same name. :seeya:

Post #5 has a link to the twitter acct also. And hasn't been deleted. I know I'm new to posting on WS, but have lurked for years and have never understood the social media rules.
:blushing::dunno:

I went back to bed this morning and had a moment of a brainstorm. ( does anyone else have their mind in a constant state of preoccupation with these cases? my bet is yes, so you know just what i mean) Remember when we were young and in school and when school started after our summer break, those first few days of athletics, we would all..........what..... wait for it...... VOMIT , repeatedly because we were out of shape ? Could Steven have vomited from running / sprinting as fast as his legs would carry him for as far as he could go ? Also I was wondering where the house is he vomited at in distance from his own home and hoping to fill in the distance he could travel at a fast sprint. When did he get back to his house? Was he there when police arrived after grandpa called them ? He had to get somewhere quickly and back and if all those areas within that circle are covered, then he met someone on a passing street and made an ' exchange'. I'm so worried about this baby .

ETA In other words when was Steven seen back at his mom's house ? Or was he loose on the streets for some time?
For some reason I thought he was back when police got there, so his ' window' of travel time would be cut to say 10 or 15
minutes, which means a 7 minute round trip tops , which means for a regular guy and not an athlete, maybe he went 800 yard
to 3/4 a mile TOPS before turning to come back in the time. So is there a major thoroughfare within 3/4 mile of this home ?

Surely they've looked at Angela and Steven's cell records?

And remember, this is an alleged heroin addict not long out of treatment, per TJ's mom. I doubt if he could run very far at all, especially carrying a 17 month old. I suppose if treatment was the boot camp kind he could run a little further.

Such a strange case...:banghead:

Yes, Childrens Services interviewed Kylee, but we have heard nothing more. I know when TJ left Kylee with me and took Terry Sr. back to get Elaina that first day, Kylee was crying when she got out of the car and ran to me. I asked her what was wrong, she said she's "scared of Steven" (the boyfriend). I picked her up and sat rocking her, and I told her it's going to be okay, she's never gonna have to see Steven again.

Has this 4 yr old ever mentioned a fear of Steven in the past few months?

The twitter account is a long standing account with her name, age, location, and picture, and a picture of Elaina. I can't find any other Angela Steinfurth in Toledo OH. I'm sure it's her.

Angela has one tweet and one retweet on May 26. That's the last activity on her twitter.

She tweeted a news story about an Oregon teenager arrested for a plot to bomb a high school, and then 1 minute later, retweeted a quote from another person on twitter about it being hard to be positive when thinking about how messed up your life is and the crazy world.

I don't find anything significant about that in relation to Elaina's situation. MOO

Cheese, you know everything :) How long was Steven gone from the home ? tks

LOL! Schmae, I love you, friend. :grouphug: All I know is that sweet baby Elaina went missing under circumstances that seem highly suspicious to me, and I'm worried as heck about her, and what happened to her in the days leading up to her disappearance.

There's conflicting info about who was in the house, and when SK left the house, so I can't answer your question.

BBM - my concern was the post from 28 Feb 2012 where she said "the baby" was going to the pediatric orthopedist, and she hoped there wouldn't be therapy needed, or something to that effect. "the baby" was roughly what, 2 months old at the time? So I was concerned about the need for a pediatric orthopedist. all IMHO etc

Well then we need to make a play by play timeline for Steven on Sunday afternoon.....including true known facts vs. alleged facts. I'm so bad at this but I will try .

If she had some type of a bone problem at birth, Ferret will know. My great niece , who's now 18 months, had a bit of a tilted head after birth and needed a small amount of therapy because it corrected itself quickly, but that is the age when they begin that thing, very early but not immediately after birth. I'm very sure if she had a suspicious broken bone at 2 months, we would have heard by now. mooo

Agree. It depends what type of treatment and how long he was recovering, but heroin is so bad and hard on your body. Just had to share as I am learning about how animals develop immune reactions to heroin...part of my research so my brain is full of it right now, just how much heroin can weaken you even independently of the risks of iv drug use.

In one of the interviews it was said that Angela had been staying with her dad or mom. Do Angela's parents live together? Where do they live and how far from Steven King's house is it ? I was thinking that baby Elaina may be somewhere between the two homes. Would Angela have walked from her mom/dad's home to JK's house that Saturday? Maybe that route whatever it was should be checked again.
