At our two small town hospitals, a parent or guardian is required to be in the room at all times with minor patients. How could this happen in a much more sophisticated University Hospital System?! This guy needs life w/o.
The article said he was there to visit someone else. Perhaps the crime was spurred by opportunity?
Some hospitals set strict visitation protocols around maternity wards. Only visitors who have been put on the visitor list by family have access to the ward. But, if he had a legit pass to visit someone known to him, that would get him in the door, so to speak.
