Human remains were found in East Price Hill on Wednesday, according to police.

They say the Criminal Investigations Section is conducting a death investigation in the 700 block of Elberon Avenue, just south of 8th Street.

The Coroner’s Office is assisting with the investigation. FOX19 will continue to monitor this developing story.

Photo's of remains taken by discoverer. They can be seen on the video linik above.

Mario Ewing said he was hired by the property manager to mow the lawn. That's when Ewing said he made the gruesome discovery.

A sea of bones was found in the backyard, Ewing said.

The bones were found near the property line where he was working. Cincinnati police said since the property line is so close, it's unclear whose yard the bones were found in.

Ewing said upon his discovery, he immediately called police.

The bones are now in the possession of the Hamilton County coroner, who is working to identify the remains.

A "Sea of bones"?!???

Edited: I found a video clip with an image of wh at appears to be one partial skeketon. I'm hoping sea of bones was just an exaggeration, and it's just the one. Really sounds shockingly gruesome.

There is a white and blue/gray item near the skeleton's left hip, since it appears the body was found supine, judging by the belt buckle on top of the pants. Does anyone think it looks anything like the bandanna (or maybe it's a knit cap) this MP is wearing?

He was last seen in December 2014 in Cincinnati.

That item looks to me like a Lacoste (or knockoff) brand "slide" sandal. Or part of one, at least:
