It has been reported that police got tips suspect was in the area. The same for the baby's location in the car. I hope we find more soon.
Columbus Division of Police Deputy Chief Smith Weir said they received several tip line calls Thursday morning from people saying they had spotted Jackson. The callers then got ahold of police in Indianapolis who eventually found her on Interstate 65, north of the city’s downtown area.

Taking a kidnapped baby across state lines will increase the severity of the charges.

That baby and his twin could have died, easily. The first twin found was abandoned at 4:30 a.m. in an airport economy parking lot. If he wasn't found, he would have died. And baby Kason would not have survived another day without food and water given the flash freeze and weather below zero with wind chill well before 0 degrees. The kidnapper needs to be held accountable for that. Car theft, kidnapping, crossing state lines, abandonment of child, neglect, fleeing arrest warrant, and I am sure there are other charges as well. I hope her sentences are not concurrent. State of Ohio charges, then state of Indiana charges, then federal charges. Should keep her off the streets for most of the rest of her life, and keep our communities safe from dangerous people like this.

Once we know if baby Kason is doing well and recovering, and I hope that is the case given what he has lived through, then I hope somebody in the Columbus community steps up and offers a new car to the mother who works as a Door Dash driver. Could be a car dealer, either a new car or a certified used car from their dealership.

And I hope other members of the Columbus community or even nationally do whatever they can to help make this family's life easier for a time, so that both parents can take the time they need to re-build and strengthen the bond they have with their children. They have been through a lot.

With her extensive arrest history I don’t understand why she was out on the steeets endangering the community already. MOO

I hope when she is extradited back to Columbus, Ohio, that the MSM look into this and report back to the public, as that is a significant question. I think we'll know more about this going forward.

Wow. The same two women found the suspect and went looking for the baby and found him.
That's some heroic sleuthing! And they didn't just "help find" they found the child!

"The women were about to give up, they said, and were getting hungry. They saw a Papa John's on Indiana Avenue and were thinking about getting food when they saw a Honda in a parking lot covered in snow."

Exactly. Both could have died. And Kason wouldn't have made it through the night if not found that evening, with the extreme cold weather coming, if not for the private citizens who found both the suspect and then Kason.

Okay, that’s one crazy story! Quite a few good and not so good decisions, thank God it had a happy ending

Those women are heroes.

So glad this finally is in the MSM. I've been sitting on my hands for days. They did a 16 part series on TikTok about the whole thing.

At least one of them has their CCW, so I guess that helped them feel safe. ETA, I hope they get the rewards. A local guy offered $10K and the FBI offered $10K.

Were they streaming this whole escapade on Tick Tock? I hope not. That may not be a wise trend to start. JMO

I do hope they get the reward money, though.

Police had to be convinced this was in fact the suspect. They were going to take her a to a shelter. Jeez. How about actually do some police work and check Amber alert info? And what about following the clues to find the baby?
Looks like the women had to do the sleuth work to find the baby.
Not being believed by the IMPD must have been very frustrating for the 2 women. I would have been angry. Why ask the public for help if they aren’t to be believed?

MOO

There are no words! o_O

OLUMBUS, Ohio — After the arrest of 24-year-old Nalah Jackson, who is charged with two counts of kidnapping, she gained another charge for allegedly spitting on a sheriff's deputy in Indiana while being booked.

*************

Jackson made her first court appearance Saturday for one count of battery bodily waste, a level six felony in Indiana. The Marion County Magistrate ended the hearing early after Jackson continuously used expletives, despite being asked not to.

Jackson was escorted to a video monitor during the hearing, handcuffed with a deputy on each arm. When the magistrate asked if her name was Nalah Jackson, Jackson responded, "Are you talking to me as a person or a slave?"

The magistrate answered, "I'm speaking to you as a person." She then asked her name again.

Jackson gave the name, "Josphis Hunt." When asked if she understood her rights, Jackson responded by saying, "no... yes... no... I'm pleading guilty. Just go ahead and sentence me."

During the remote hearing, the Marion County Magistrate set Jackson's bond at $500, and told Jackson that even if the bond is met, she would not be released due to a hold on the State of Ohio for two counts of kidnapping.

After her hearing for battery bodily waste, Jackson began yelling expletives toward the magistrate, prompting the end of the hearing. The magistrate told her clerk that they technically didn't get through the hearing and the judge for the upcoming hearing on Dec. 26 will likely have to redo the hearing.
