The idea of a serial killer is interesting, but for some reason I really need to be sold on it with really firm evidence.

I agree. How are they lookalikes besides the fact that they're white and they're women? Not buying it :shakehead:
 
The only one of the missing women that MIGHT have been taken by a random perp, IMO, is Lauren...and even that would require so many coincidences, it is hard for me to buy. I think Holly's abductor was known to her, Katelyn's as well, and it looks to me like Karen's killer will end up being someone she knew very well. I am not sure who else this guy is throwing into the mix...but I doubt that any of these cases are in any way related. JMO
 
Checking in on Katelyn's thread after an absence from here but she's certainly not been absent from my mind!

Anybody know if the fiance was at the recent vigil? Any word from him at all?

Praying for Christmas wishes to come true and these missing be found!!!!

Its been over a year....It is like this never happened. Its not even talked about anymore. I work and socialize so close to where she lived, and socialized. Women don't even remember this happening. LE, the media, no one even mentions these two young women(Paige Johnson).... its so bizarre. I do not think they are connected -- but as a woman, and frequenting both areas of my town, it terrifies me, when I am shopping, or getting gas or walking to my car from someones apartment. These are populated areas. Yes there are corn fields, in between highways and strip malls and apartment complexes. There are bars, and churches and gas stations and ff restaurants on top of each other. Fairfield and the complex she was last seen in, is not desolate... I have my own opinion she left willingly. Paige as well. From MY experiences at there age, in this "city"-- If you are going to get high, you take your phone and wallet. If you are going to purchase and come.right.back. to get high, you just take the 20 dollar bill and leave the phone and the ID. especially, if the quick trip to pick-up came in the form of "i'll fly, you buy" and someone swung by to pick her up. This is just from my experience, in this town...I remember initially thinking the boyfriend had nothing to do with it because he "seemed" to love her. But I have been influenced and swayed by some body language and specific word choices in that 911 call and believe there is something not "clicking" right.

Katelyn has been missing for 4 months I believe.

So you are basically suggesting that the disappearances of Katelyn and Paige may be connected?
 
No. I def said I don't think they are connected. BUT I can see instances where a girl would duck out w/o her phone or keys with someone she socialized with. I have been reading the threads, and considering everyones theories and possibilities, while checking for flaws in my own theory. In Katelyn's case---I am wondering if she has any history of having smoked pot with any of her neighbors..

I haven't read or heard anything about her socializing with her neighbors. I have wondered if she stepped outside on the patio to smoke and someone joined her then abducted her or it could have been a neighbor and she went to their house or apartment. I believe it was someone she knew.

There was a vehicle that drove into the parking lot and was only there a short time. She might have jumped in the truck (I think I read that it was a truck) and left with someone.

I don't believe it was family or her BF. jmo
 
I didn't think it was the boyfriend either, until the 911 call. His accusation of the carnival ppl REALLY bothers me. And his behavior AFTER the fact bothers me as well... have not heard a PEEP from this guy in 4 months. And our local news would give him any air time he wanted---
 
I just noticed there is a Marathon Gas Station at 5040 River Road, merely a 30 second walk from Katelyn's home on Dorshire....

Any chance she needed smokes that night after John left and she simply decided to walk/run over quick to get some, when she was abducted????

Grasping perhaps, and I'm sure this possibility has been discussed at great lengths it's just that I hadn't realized how close that gas station is, until just now!

Where are YOU Ms Markham? A brand new year has begun without you!

Not confirmed officially but on FB several friends said she did not smoke and would not have set out so late at night in any case. But we never really know what people will do, no matter how well we know them.
