Probably a detail right under their noses that is being overlooked.
Looks like it could be. Really hope this leads to answers.http://www.wlwt.com/news/local-news...on/-/13601510/15191506/-/720nuvz/-/index.html
Could be interesting? Think?
Fairfield Police today admitted they are investigating a possible connection between a Hamilton man, arrested six days ago for rape, and the disappearance of Katelyn Markham. 26 year old Gurpreet Kang lived in the same neighborhood as Markham, and worked at a convenience store nearby.
In a statement released today, detectives go on to say, "This information has already been integrated into our ongoing investigation. As it is an ongoing investigation, the Fairfield Police Department will reserve any further comments on this information."
http://www.middletownjournal.com/ne...-to-missing-fairfield-woman-case-1394596.htmlOn June 15, Oxford police arrested Gurpreet Kang, 26, of Hamilton for an alleged sexual assault of a Miami University student that occurred last year in Oxford.
Kang reportedly worked at a convenience store and lived near Markham’s residence, Lt. Kevin Haddix of the Fairfield Police Department said in a release.
Fairfield police Chief Mike Dickey refused to comment on the Markham case and would not specify the convenience store where Kang supposedly worked.
“We’ve been in contact with Oxford police. You’ll have to draw your own conclusions from that,” Dickey said.
Kang was arrested about two weeks ago by authorities in Wayne County, Mich. in Detroit and was extradited to Ohio.
News 5's Karin Johnson talked with neighbors Wednesday who said Kang lived across the street from Markham at one time. The apartment building owner said Kang's family rented the apartment, but Kang's name was not on the lease. New tenants moved in in June 2011, the owner said.
The owner of a gas station on East River Road that was visible from Markham's home told Johnson Thursday that Kang worked at the station for about five years before leaving last summer. The owner would not confirm reports that Kang's family owns the station.

http://communitypress.cincinnati.co...sappearance-Katelyn-Markham-?odyssey=nav|headKang is being held in the Butler County Jail in lieu of $250,000 in bail in the April 2011 rape of a 22-year-old Oxford woman.
Oxford police said they linked Kang recently to the sexual assault through DNA. He was arrested June 15 in Detroit where police officials said he was trying to cross into Canada.
I hate to think that was the last face she saw. He is creepy. But he lived and worked right next to her. He may have watched John leave and knocked, her thinking John came back for something. He may have even seen that key hidden outside and planned this. And she very well could have known him and thought nothing of opening the door to him. I sure hope this is the break that is desperately needed.
