Watched first episode only, could not stomach CN and his 15 minutes of fame or the commercials. Don't care for him at all and show a huge disappointment.

Really wish BW3 would show a sliver of good character and give up the chaos. Give the families the peace they deserve. He's done enough damage to last for the rest of their lives. BW3 is pure evil.

Not believing the W's were worried about the children being sa as they claimed. Remember JW wanted visitation w/HMR’s child after he murdered her. Were they wanting to collect children, JW married quickly once in AK.

Also, AW claim of raped - wasn’t too believable either - it was an excuse by a master manipulator as a way to be released from the USAF.

AW & JW wanted control of the child and would stop at nothing for full control.

Finally, something else disgusting is AW light sentence.

All is speculation, with a bit of moo
I agree, not a fan of Chris. He did not bother me as much in the series as he did in court. I did like the series though.
I also think she could have made up the rape. It's hard to know with someone that lies so much.

Also saw only the first episode, but I was concerned about the show glossing over Angela and Jake's claims that S was being sexually molested, hence the reason for seeking custody. IIRC, during cross examination, Jake was never able to come up with credible evidence for his suspicions of CSA. In fact, the prosecution showed that Angela had used that false accusation multiple times to intimidate the girlfriends and wives of her sons.

Unfortunately, Oxygen didn't mention that. Perhaps they'll clear up that misconception in one of the other episodes. If not, perhaps the surviving members of the Rhoden family could pursue a lawsuit in defense of the accusations against innocent victims. The Rhoden family members are no longer alive to defend themselves.

In I think the 3rd episode, Angie Canepa says there is no way to know whether Angela Wagner really believed S was being (or was likely or certain to be) molested. First of all, that's RICH given Angela enabled the statutory rape of a 15-year old; Hanna Rhoden was not old enough to give consent. Second, the Wagners considered first "just" murdering Hanna and the father of her 2nd child, which gives away that the issue was controlling Hanna's children, whether they were blood related to Wagners or not. I tend to think that Angela used the molestation hysteria as a way to whip Billy and her sons into doing things she wanted done (including rejecting and abusing their wives/girlfriends).

CN was certainly a charmer on the stand. He had me snowed for a while. Played like he was an innocent child that got his hand caught in the cookie jar, only in reality it was much more serious.

I'll bet the only reason he testified against George IV was because it was part of a plea deal of his own.

Completely my own opinion

It was to murder Hanna and her current boyfriend who was not the father of Hanna's 2nd child.

Meanwhile his mother, Angela, was monitoring conversations Hanna had with George's e-wife, Tabitha, and Tabitha's mother on Facebook Messenger, Jake said. That's how he became aware that Hanna said the Wagners would have to kill her before she would sign custody papers.

Earlier in the trial, an Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations agent testified that a screenshot of that private conversation was made on an iPad belonging to the Wagners less than a half hour after Hanna sent it.

The message was a catalyst for the Wagner family; Jake said he discussed it with his parents after his mother showed him what Hanna said.

"To be frank, I had decided I felt I had no other choice than to kill Hanna," he said.

Billy proposed murdering her first, and Jake initially refused. He told the jury he eventually changed his mind and told his dad they could kill Hanna and her boyfriend, Corey Holdren, framing Holdren as the shooter in a murder-suicide.

But Billy didn't like that idea and the family instead decided they would kill Hanna, Frankie, Chris Sr. and Kenneth; prosecutors said during opening statements that Chris Sr. was targeted because of his role as the family patriarch, Frankie was murdered because he knew of Hanna's complaints about Jake's violence toward her and Kenneth was killed because he'd previously retaliated against someone who'd beaten Chris Sr. up.

So sick and stupid on every level.

Well worth a listen! Tricia, thank you for having JSM on your show. ;)

Getting popcorn ready...

He’s calling Rob Junk a socialist. He’s politicizing it, too, by having a”spokesperson” from his campaign office provide information about the lawsuit to his own newspaper. The lawsuit doesn’t have anything to do with his political campaign. He’s even dragging Joe Biden into the mess. Also Trump, saying Trump needs to straighten out the Pike County courts, etc.

Derek seems intent on getting GW4 out of prison. I wonder if he and GW4 had a relationship in the past?

Let me see if I got this right:

Myers published news in the Guardian about the direct testimony of witnesses during GW4's trial and was arrested and faced felony charges by Pike County officials for doing his editorial work. But after the grand jury failed to indict Myers, the charges against him were dismissed. And now Myers is suing the Pike County officials for violating his constitutional rights.

Taking away the politics here, isn't charging the editor of the newspaper like like shooting the messenger? JMO

He published about 10 mins of audio of Jake's testimony. I think that they believed he had recorded it himself while in court which was not allowed. They charged it as wiretapping I beleive. Apparently someone else recorded it and gave to Derek is what Derek said and I guess could not be proven otherwise.

I do think that in most states or maybe in all states that journalist/reporters are protected under shield laws and do not have to provide their confidential sources.

To me it seemed that the court thinking he had recorded it was where the issue came into play. There are quite a few articles about the whole thing on the internet.

He likes to push the envelope in many ways it seems.

Just one article: Ohio editor charged with wiretapping after publishing obtained court recording

Thank you. I recall when court went into recess during the trial because of allegations a recording device was located being used in court, contrary to expanded media coverage rules previously granted by the Court.

I had no idea it had gone as far as filing felony criminal charges which ultimately appeared to have been unsupported by the facts, and the charges dismissed.

Personally, I don't like it when a third party hijacks the focus from the victims and their families still awaiting justice for such a horrific tragedy. JMO
