PIKE COUNTY TRIAL: Court is back in session - resuming hearing former BCI agent Bryan White's testimony about "Scene 3" where Dana, Chris Jr, and Hanna died.

White says he and the coroner noticed a gunshot wound to the back of Hanna Rhoden's head that he didn't notice until they were moving the body.

White also noticed what he believed to be a blood stain on Dana's left thigh. He took samples from it.
Lab results: Dana's DNA

PIKE COUNTY TRIAL: After they removed bodies, White says he took more bedding from each room.

This bag contains a sheet from Chris Jr's bed. However, it was not submitted for DNA testing.

White also collected a sheet from Dana's bed after he helped remove her body.
It's in this bag. It was also not submitted to the lab for DNA testing.

White also removed a white sheet from Hanna's bedroom after removing her body.
It's in this bag - also was not submitted to the lab for DNA testing.

White answers why these weren't tested.
"You would expect to find the victim’s DNA on a bedsheet they are sleeping on & that is why they were not given top priority ... We knew their bodies touched those items, so we would expect their DNA to be there."

White says they used a forensic vacuum inside Dana's property - a new filter in each victim's room.
He's showing them as evidence. But none were submitted to lab.
We know they did this in Chris Sr's trailer too - but I don't think we saw them like this.

White took a blind swab from the screen door up front.
Lab results: "a complex mix of DNA not suitable for comparison purposes"

A blind swab of the front door handle also contained "a complex mix of DNA not suitable for comparison purposes."

A blind swab of the door handle to Chris Jr's bedroom containing a "mixture lacking sufficient data for comparison purposes."

A blind swab of Dana's bedroom door handle also couldn't be matched.

DNA swabs from front screen door and door handles of Chris Jr's bedroom had mixed DNA.

Swab from Dana's bedroom doorknob also mixed DNA.

Assume these DNA swabs can be re-tested if necessary as technology develops.

Getting into gathering of ballistics evidence. More Remington rimfire bullets that were also used at Frankies.

By my count, there are at least 3 types of ammo used.
I’ve not been able to follow closely. Were there 3 types of ammo used at Frankie’s or 3 types all locations included. TY!

Total of 3 types used at all. IIRC, when they gathered shells, etc. at Frankie's it was a different type of 22 cartridge/shell than the ones at Chris's. So far, its Rimfire cartridges found at Frankie's and Dana's. A different type of 22 ammo at Chris Sr's.

Looking forward to an expert summary of the ballistics at the crime scenes, which will probably come later. JMO

No .22 Remington's were found at CRSr. It was a .40 cal Hornaday.

JMO the .30 caliber SKS rifle mentioned at the bond hearing was shot from CRSr. front yard injured his arm, damaged the door frame/screen door, went through the walls and out the opposite side of the trailer.

Thanks. I recall hearing them, when discussing the scene at Frankie's, that the .22 Rimfire cartridge was different. That's probably what they meant. So, 3 different types of ammo so far, 3 different weapons.

JMO, still not buying Jake's story about taking the gun away from GW4.

Well Evan has gone to reporting a school shooting in Sharonville - Princeton Hi School. So I shall go ahead & post what he has.

PIKE COUNTY TRIAL: White says they found a cartridge case under the crib in Hanna Rhoden's room. This was the only casing recovered from Dana's home.

White 4.jpg

White says he saw no evidence Dana, Chris, or Hanna tried to defend themselves or get out of bed.

Canepa circles back to the cartridge case from under the crib.
It was a .22 caliber casing - had insufficient DNA on it for comparison.

Right, it was found by FR and HHG bedroom door, was not fired, different brand I think so MO it is probably FR's.

Wonder: How did #42 end up in the other bedroom? From outside as well or from one of the shots from the livingroom?
