Lol guess they never drove to AK via MT. No cell phone service unless you are near a city. Hubby and i drove 1200 miles through BC and Yukon with no cell service. We never even saw an electric line or telephone line on the side of the road, let alone a cell tower. We did see an old man sitting on the side of a road on a bench seat out of a vehicle holding a sign saying "get your directions here." lol Nothing but trees, moose, wild horses and buffalo up there for 1200 miles.

Just a quick question I might have missed all this time. Were there two trips they all made to Alaska. It seems this was a shorter trip and there would not have been enough time for Jake to meet his wife there in alaska. It seems through MSM they were living up there a lot longer than 2 weeks. Or did I miss something. Even though I have the trial on....I frequently have to step away.

I am confused as well. I thought they were stopped returning from Alaska and maybe I just assumed that was when they moved back, but I am seeing these dates previously posted and now thinking it must have been the trip to check things out and then come back before the left to move officially and stay?

Did they say why they didn't use video? I'm guessing they had their reasons for not using FBI, but they probably weren't good reasons. I'll let it go at that. Don't understand why charges weren't brought against Fredericka & Robin Wagner, though.

FBI has to be asked @Betty P. same as BCI has to be asked in. They can't trample all over another LE's jurisdiction.

I know right? Why burn it? Why not just take out the drive, sledgehammer it and burn that or throw it in a river on your trucking travels? I get rural still gets to burn their stuff outside, I remember doing that here in my childhood. But they didn't do a very good jib of destroying the device, if that was their intent as serial #'s were still visible.

IMO, that would take time and they were so very arrogant in their belief they would never be caught.

The W4 thought they had planned the perfect crime. They also thought that local LE could not solve it. Their confidence started to waver when BCI got involved and positioned their command center in Waverly...

Then BCI stated the murders had been committed by locals and the W4 started to liquidate their assets.

If I was stuck in a chair I’d be asleep some days. Put George at the scene or directly involved or it’s over. Where were the conversations between Jake and George, Angela and George, Billy and George? I don’t need to hear about Angela and Jake yapping over piercing ears, it’s doesn’t even sound like he was that mad. I certainly hope this picks up and soon.

I saw the data again recently. There's a listing of the number of calls from jail for each of the Wagners. Billy's calls were quite high, IIRC. Maybe he talks to his mother and sister? Just a guess. Old friends back home?

Hasn't been much sticking so far that we are seeing. Billy moved out on them and Angie wants to take George and Jakes kids and kick George and Jake to the curb so Billy who hates them can move back in.

We'll double check. It could be they were the weapons on the Family Gun List mentioned previously that weren't used in the murders. The ones from that collection that were used in the murders were stashed somewhere else. Depending on the date of that search, they may or may not have ended up in the bottom of the pond.

One would have to ask, though, why any of her brother's family guns needed to be hidden, especially when everyone knew they were under investigation for the murder of the Rhoden family and Hannah Gilley.

I hope BCI asked Robin how long the guns had been hidden in her room and whether, at any point in time, some guns had been removed from the collection. JMO, I can't imagine sleeping with that many guns stored in my bedroom, just sayin'. Why didn't they just put them in a shed or something? There are alot of buildings on FWF. Not much livestock left, so plenty of room.

Good points, but at the same time I'm surprised RW was not included in the Conspiracy charge.

Eveslage says she looked at an old iPhone belonging to George Wagner IV but no content. Now revisiting the text messages between George and Jake from Jake's phone.


The grandfather who got robbed is on the Carter side - Angela's father.


This is August 2016 - several months after murders.


Parker goes at Eveslage on a different text string - between Billy and Jake. Tries to get her to say it was directly related to murders, but she wants to say it is about family dynamics.

On redirect - Canepa points out the family left for Alaska when Ed Carter was sick and dying and that no one, even George came back for the funeral. Everslage also says the messages with Billy and Jake was different because Billy says he was proud of his son.

Talking about the moment when the Wagners became official suspects. Says they knew someone had shot a gun at Peterson Road that was later used to kill 5 people, plus the falsehoods from Billy.


BCI plan was to intercept the Wagners at the Canadian border on the way back from their scouting trip. Had ping orders on their phones in real time - only when they called or got texts. Not content.

IMO Bob Wagner passed away August 2017 and AW's father passed away November 2017.

I don't get it? Canepa would have heard this so why did she throw on the "all for one and one for all" and say they were so enmeshed and cultish? Like Angie and Jake and George would live together forever and no girlfriends welcomed.

Why would Angie want to be called mom and get custody if she wanted the boys to move out?

So Jake had Hanna killed out of jealousy? On his own he could have used Hanna for babysitting.

I said years ago that Jake was just your garden variety domestic abuser. He isn't the first to kill an ex GF/wife and her entire family because she left him and he won't be the last. A guy in GA killed his ex wife, her sister, her sisters husband, his children, then drove 90 miles to kill his ex wife's parents and younger brother.

It happens. He was so jealous and he didn't want to let her go because he groomed her from the age of 12 or 13. he wasn't about to let her have a life away from him and he had to punish her for leaving by killing her whole family.

I think Jake did it out of jealousy, Billy because he wanted to move in on Chris's drug business and Angie because she wanted to be viewed as a very important part of the family because only she could take care of the kids.

I think if they hadn't been caught, George and Jake would have ended up in a horrible accident when their brakes went out while driving their semi truck and Angie would have collected all that life insurance on them, then her and Billy could live together with both kids calling her mom and Billy dad. Later on BW and SW would have been next, when Angie needed more money.

She is a sick woman. You read about women like her who kill their whole family for life insurance money.

They should dig her dad up and do an autopsy on him because he inherited his house when he died and she had life insurance she was paying on him every month in her bills.
