Ok I don't think it is the same barn. The red vehicle is parked in front of and on the left of the door. There is no way this vehicle would be visible from the back. The barn itself is on the way.

Because the picture was taken from the road and the garage sits up a slight hill from the road.

Here is a Google Earth shot showing the topology. The picture would have been taken from where I've placed an "X". Note that this is taken at an elevation of 1237 feet. At ground level you would not see the driveway.

I also remember a photo of LM son's p/u on a tow truck along with another vehicle but can't remember the model of the vehicle. I still haven't located that photo yet.

I see what you are saying. So it really is an optical illusion and the vegetation in the photo is nowhere near the front of the barn, but actually closer to and zoomed by the photographer. Thanks. JMO.....................whew.

I think this goes to show how great LE has been at keeping all the details of this investigation under wraps.
We've spent the last couple of hours obsessing about the angle a picture of a barn was taken from.

If you look closely at the aerial pics you can see the property slopes down to a ditch alongside the road. That's why you can't see the driveway. Anyway, here's an aerial pic where you can see the monkey grass. I circled it.

This is probably highly unlikely but what if something is actually hidden in a vehicle they didn't tow and they are just playing dumb and towed random unlinked cars. Then they are going to release the property back to see who goes to retrieve such items thinking they got away with it (when such item is already in evidence) then catch them in the process. My thoughts would be something linking to the crime as it's possible the who they think did it has been involved in the case from the start. Just throwing that out there as a theroy

Should add my reasoning is I'm wondering if said evidence is in one of the incident reports and that's why it's being withheld, and possibly all they have against person or persons is circumstantial at this point.
