Hmm.. Would be interesting to see all property he owned or was part owner of in the state on a map. The values can be tricky, because there is assessed value for property tax purposes and something like land that is considered forestry land isn't valued at much for taxes, but is worth a lot more.

Nothing in the surrounding counties. I checked Jackson, Ross, Highland and Adams.

Howdeeeeeeeeeeeeee ye allllllllllsssssssssss!

I kept stuff in a word document as this has unfolded. Obviously they are separate "thoughts" over the past several days. I figured the most logical way to do this is to just state "topic change"!!

You have some very good points in here that I agree with. Especially issues with LE. Also not so sure myself there aren't some corrupt LE that could have been involved and were worried about being exposed.

I've also wondered about other drugs. I said after they found what they did I wouldn't be surprised if others were discovered.

Good Lord! First, let me say, that as an urbinite, the only positive thing I can say is boy oh boy - have I gotten an education about rural America. WOW just WOW. i watched the show with granny/ and Beverly in the title- regularly, but oh my. Good Lord!

ON THE DAY it was breaking, at first I thought domestic. Hours later, when the word "execution" style, came out -drugs came in! In the middle of the two events, on day 1 ,however, is the key! IMO, to this mess
A local helicopter tv outlet hoovering over the big house., first day , The reporter states, "and over here (way, way, way in back of the big house) we see haz mat". They zoom in and sure enough I see two persons in all white jumpsuits. Who calls in hazmart 4 hours after discovering bodies? ....Who does not call haz mat when aware that deep in those ole woods are meth heroin labs, and god knows whatever else -

I found i wildly intriguing that the AG endlessly lists all the resources he has bought in. Unless there are regular LE folks running in Michael Jackson white jump suits.........

The implications are enormous- it shows prior knowledge by LE of what was going on . I think they have located the labs but are not releasing it. .I have tried to find it again, (first day video piece of this) but on that first day there were hours of video of aerial views just circling the area.
My only conclusion: Fond memories of "Breaking Bad" - I think we are going to find enormous meth/black tar/etc in this story. If anyone in the area knows what agency would dispatch haz mat in that area, it would be interesting to know the dispatch. The TV dude recognized them instantly
>>snip<<

Those likely were not hazmat but instead Ohio BCI investigators. They wear white jump suits and shoe covers so as not to contaminate the scene. When they come off the scene, the suits are bagged and tagged. As a former public information officer for our local FD, I can tell you from experience, the press only gets about 50% of the story correct normally. I've read a press release that was written down before calling them and by the time it gets to print, the story is changed. My rank was simple firefighter and I've been called Captain, Fire Chief and commander even though I would clearly give and spell my name and rank for them. Never believe what you hear in the press.

Snipped by me for brevity.

Thank you and A-FREAKING-MEN. I have been walking on eggshells with this case trying not to offend people with my opinions about this family (and this culture in general). But COME ON. Dad was a carpenter at a campground. Mom was a health aid (like you said - $8 an hour). Daughter was also a nursing assistant (minimum wage). And they own COUNTLESS cars, at least 14 properties, a HUGE, expensive steel barn, very expensive roosters and dogs, oh, and let's not forget that $3000 derby car owned by the kid who never worked.

It should have been obvious to anyone with eyeballs (I'm looking at you Grandpa "I didn't know anything about no drugs" Manley) that this family was DEALING DRUGS. And I agree that it wasn't just pot. This has to be related to the honey oil bust. That is BIG $$$$. And the epidemic in southern Ohio is not pot. Just this past Sunday, 60 minutes had a segment ABOUT PIKETON OHIO and its heroin epidemic. Everyone go on On Demand on cable today and watch that. It was from this very town! Yes, THIS town of 2,000 people was just featured on 60 minutes!!

The poster yesterday who noticed this happened the day after 4/20 (so there would have been a lot of cash laying around) absolutely nailed it, IMO.

And there is no way, zero chance, zilch in my mind -- that the cops weren't aware and in on the loot.

(That said, I still say there is no way this was a Mexican drug cartel. This was someone local who was SUPER pissed that they weren't cut into the business and weren't sharing in the wealth.)

ETA that I in NO WAY think the family deserved to be murdered, or to be the victim of any crime. Only that it is indisputable that this family invited a criminal element into their lives. And tragically, when you lay with dogs, you get fleas sometimes! So horribly sad for those babies!!

Just checked T D Auto Sales in Lucasville. Their dealers license is inactive and has been since 2015.

I find it a bit strange that Bobby didn't know the address of the house when she called 911, she first had to go to the mailbox and read it off. These are relatives, she goes there every day and she doesn't even know the name of the street?? Or was she just so in shock that she couldn't remember?

I think that was a cell phone reception problem. Too many tall trees near the house, had to get to a clearer spot.

But if you scroll down to the bottom of that business link it says , two other businesses at this address. One of the businesses is auto sales.

I saw that, but the phone number DR uses when she posts cars belongs to Scioto River Trading. In many of the cars for sale that she posts you can see a parking lot and the blue flags strung out in front of the business. On the business website, you can see the same flags and also there is a sign with that phone number on it and a few vehicles with that phone number on the door. The other businesses around there have different numbers.

Thanks. I just checked T & D Auto Sales with both the Ohio Secretary of State Business Entity Search and with the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicle Dealer's License search online and there were two T & D Auto Sales, both are inactive and the names associated with the two inactive businesses do not include the Rhodens.

If there was no dealer's license, then the business likely had no surety bond, insurance, proof of financial responsibility, etc. and this was a curbstone and illegal operation. That is, if the sale of vehicles exceeded five vehicles in a year and from FB, it looks like it did.

Curbstone operations are a real problem where I live and I know of one that was being run of a state penitentiary by a guy who was in prison for life with no parole. A curbstoner is far different than a person who is selling their own personal vehicle because the curbstoner is buying and selling junk cars, sometimes fixing them up a bit before selling them and they are doing it in some sort of volume on a regular basis. They sometimes offer the buyer a warranty and they sometimes have no financial ability to honor the warranty. If the car turns out to be a problem, the buyer is put into a bad position if the seller won't or can't fix the problem. There are very good reasons vehicle dealers are regulated by the state and that is to protect the consumer.

I hope LE is also talking the the buyers of the vehicles sold to see if there were any serious conflicts over the sale of a vehicle.

BBM: Check out the Facebook link for Scotio River Trading I just posted and read the one review on there.

As time has gone by, I began to sense that LE ("pocket" deputy) , city hall, courts , in this general whole area, is more of a big boys club. So I looked around a bit ............,

Joel Jenkins: - with Pike County SHeriff for about three years. Paraphrase, he was fired by previous dept - not cut out for job.

Event one: .......allows deputies to take home their assigned cruisers every night. When representatives from department went to Jenkins' home to retrieve the vehicle while he was out of town, it was found with less than a half-tank of gas, the fuel card not inside the vehicle and the battery dead. Jenkins had his take-home privileges suspended for 30 days.

He remains on the payroll:

Event two : while making a left-hand turn, Jenkins hit a pedestrian ( an elderly man in a crosswalk) in a crosswalk while driving his cruiser.--- "driver inattention,"

He remains on the payroll:

Event three: Jenkins was advised by dispatch of an EMS call that involved an intoxicated person.............. deputies respond to calls like that to protect EMS staff should the intoxicated person become violent. Jenkins did not respond to the EMS call by his own initiative and had to be directly instructed by a superior to go.

He remains on the payroll:

Event four: Jenkins had been drinking the night of this incident...........40-year-old Jason Brady asked Jenkins to show him how to strip a gun, which was not Jenkins' duty weapon, when it went off, killing Brady...

Jenkins will have to answer for the March 28 death of Robert Rooker ", a 26-year-old whom friends called Padro, and for the Dec. 3 death of Jason Brady, a 40-year-old neighbor who used to feed and walk Jenkins’ police dog....

Law enforcement in this area:
:
Athens County Sheriff Patrick Kelly....prosecutors say the 64-year-old Kelly began to misspend public funds within months of being sworn into office in 2009. He was found guilty of 18 of the 25 charges against him in a grand jury indictment.

Another whole LE deal : ...............A crash at the intersection of Emmitt Avenue and Clough Street on October 9 has ignited controversy in Waverly, and has led to the suspension of a police officer and allegations of corruption against village officials, including former Mayor Dale Reed. Former Waverly police officer Aaron Mowery says he was made into a “fall guy” as part of a plan to dismiss a traffic citation against a person close to former mayor Dale Reed..

another one : investigating grand jury in Pike County. The panel recommended criminal charges against the Walls in a 31-page report. used her position with the township to steer residents who showed up at the township building requiring permits for a new house to her husband..........Her husband was charged with tampering with public records, theft, conspiracy and criminal attempt to commit theft by extortion.

Another one: No prison time for former Pike County chief deputy-- child sex abuse charge.

ANother one : Time sheets Falsified in Pike County; US Attorney to investigate.

IMO - I think that what the AG is really spending most of his time (hey this is under his state) is what may come out - how corrupt this particular dept is.There is no reason IMO for him to have denied any LE and Rhoden involvement.

I quit looking - I could go on and on about the stuff that came up about LE curruption in this county

Houston, we have some very serious problems!!moo

She used to live at that same address according to public records. One of her arrests lists that address as where she lives, so it must have been on her drivers license.

In 2014, the task force reported finding 81 meth labs and indicting 85 people for manufacturing meth and 12 for trafficking meth across its region.

...........attributed to the Pike County Sheriff's Office recommitting resources to drug investigations with the U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force. Pike and its law enforcement partners in Ross, Pickaway and Fayette counties all dedicated investigators back to the task force in early 2014.

I think there is something to a lot of the corruption there, I've seen locals talk about it dating back to way before this happened and it seems to be a lot of the government.

Sadly this can be pretty common in these smaller rural areas. I see it in my state. Everyone knows what is going on but it seems to take a long time for anything to be done. Most complaints that go to an AG about corruption on a daily basis are probably nothing which might be why it takes so long. I've been involved in exposing some government officials and the ones in the city went to prison, the ones in the rural areas were eventually voted out or are still there.

I'm not sure why the urban areas are easier to get something done about, likely ties aren't as close so less people willing to help cover up when an investigation starts.

On the Bobby 911 tape, I do not hear children or any other person. The tape has a weird echo. It could be either some kind of feedback from the phone (was it on speaker-phone?)
or perhaps it has something to do with how 911 calls are recorded. The weird echo sometimes sounds like there is another person talking. But I think it may be possible that someone
else could also be heard on the tape. Perhaps with some sound editing one could get a clearer sound. Is it possible to download the 911 call as an mpg file, rather than
listening to it on soundcloud? This weird echo reminds me somehow of the movie "poltergeist" (the original movie).

Someone mentioned this before, but I also hear Bobby say at the very end, after an emotional outburst "please, don't hurt me". This is also very strange. This suggests that someone else
is there as well. If someone says "please have mercy" then it could be addressed to God. But "please, don't hurt me" sounds unusual to me. I think it is addressed to another person that
is present.

BBM. This would almost make me believe that Bobbi stumbled on the killer(s). Almost, because it doesn't make sense that the killer(s) would stick around while the police were being called.

I mean, I suppose it's possible that the killer(s) could stay around long enough to make sure Bobbi didn't mention his/her/their name to police, and then threaten her before they left. It seems rather risky though, since they couldn't know that they could flee before police got there. That "please don't hurt me" is really really odd though.

Someone researched this earlier going through records at the county auditor's office web site. IIRC, the property was inherited after the death of his grandfather, Clarence.

ETA: The property where Dana lived had been recently purchased from someone else.

That was me. And is correct. The Left Fork properties were originally a very large piece of land that Clarence divided off and sold. I just posted the picture of what is left of those properties that are now in CR's name

I don't hear "please don't hurt me" at all on that 911 call. Does anyone have a timestamp for that?

I'm interested in the fact that "et all" is added to CR's name for the properties. Is it in a trust of some sort? Who is/are the "et all?"
