GUILTY OH - Summer Inman, 25, abducted & murdered, Logan, 22 March 2011

there was a case in Hocking County years ago where a woman was shot on the Courthouse steps while leaving her divorce proceedings I took care of her in an area Nursing Home

So very sad. My neighbor had a restraining order on her husband and he killed her and then himself.

I don't think Summer thought they would go to the extreme and murder her. Who would think that a mother in-law, father in-law and estranged husband would plot to kill?

We do see it every day and I just don't think Summer could have done anymore than she did. The husband was never going to let her go.

Ima

But he threatened to KILL her!

When someone threatens to kill you you LISTEN! And listen well.
Ill bet there was some physical abuse in her past with the hubby Thats usually the first sign to you that they can and will hurt you...

I have been there! And believe me the sign are there even if you dont want to believe it.

ya but if there was and your correct is it not usually the reason you end up staying more often then not because your afraid to leave,, that is the most common story you allways hear about at least.

Gummie, this sentence points out one reason why I do not side with any of your statements on here. I have read that horrible blog since the beginning. The people there and in other places on the internet keep claiming to feel "sympathy" for what happened to Summer; however, they continue to inflate the Inman's greatness. They also continue to push this "nasty" horrible divorce that was escalating. While I am certain that the Inmans are upset that the children are no longer in their home, I am not willing to listen to rumors that Summer was pulling horrible stunts to keep the kids from the Inmans. And I will NOT believe anything that the Inmans claimed about Adam. That is heresay and not relevant. I do NOT believe that they have told the truth in their probable many rants against Summer and where their lives have been taken.

Agree. Completely and totally.

Throwing this out there, none of the following is true, I am just making up different scenarios to prove my point: Let's say Summer cheated on her husband in their home, the home of also her in-laws. Let's say she even did this in her husbands bed. Let's say the guy she cheated on with was some homeless dude the Inman's took in. Let's say Summer "taunted" the Inmans by leaving pictures of her new boyfriend with her kids posted all around the neighborhood. Let's say that Summer missed church a couple of times in her life. Let's say once Summer listened to Marilyn Manson.

I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANY OF THAT. No one EVER "has it coming." No one EVER deserves to be strangled (it takes a full 5 to 7 minutes to strangle a person to death by the way) and then dumped in a sewer system.

Do I think any of you think Summer had it coming? No way! I don't think anyone here does. But you see, when "far more to the story" and details such as the above are presented, we kind of get into blaming our victim whether we realize it or not.

Justice for Summer.

Inmate: Accused Kidnapper says 'I wish we handn't done it'
A man suspected of kidnapping his daughter-in-law allegedly told a fellow inmate, " wish we hadn't done it."
According to documents obtained by NBC4, an inmate who was housed in the same area of the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail (SEORJ) as William A. Inman Sr. told police the suspect allegedly expressed concern that his wife would say something to police.
Inman, his son and wife are charged in the kidnapping of Summer Inman on March 22.
The inmate said Inman, "at one point received a letter from his wife. [Inman] started crying and said, 'Wish we hadn't done it, wish I hadn't helped my son out.'"

I think he's just more upset about getting caught. From the article above...:snooty:

Another document said the inmate told police that while talking, Inman said, "I'll tell you what, no matter how hard they try, they will never find her, as long as my boy and wife stay strong."
The inmate claims he asked Inman, "Who is they?" and that Inman replied, "The cops." When the inmate asked "Who is her?" he said Inman replied, "My boy's girl."

He also said he was worried that his wife would talk.

Thankfully she did talk. I hope justice is served in this case.

SR is showing that he has absolutely NO remorse for his action. I too believe that what he is the most sorry for is 1 - getting caught, 2 - his wife telling the police where the body was. This man makes me sick!

So very sorry for Summer's family.

I am still unable to let myself post on this thread because I am just so damn angry and torn up still, but I couldn't let this go by without a huge THANKS for this post. So very well said!

Also in this article:

Meanwhile, Richard "Joey" Leake, 21, who was pepper-sprayed by one of the men abducting Summer Inman after stumbling upon the kidnapping and trying to come to her aid, said he has his old job back.

Leake didn't get home until about 3 a.m. on March 23, his left eye nearly swollen shut. He said he overslept, missed work and was fired. Leake admitted, however, that he had missed work twice the week before, and that the third time was the clincher.

His employer, Saw Miller Inc., gave him a second chance. As of Friday, Leake was back on the job cutting slabs of wood for $9.50 an hour. His bosses told him they appreciated what he had tried to do, he said today.

Leake said that he wishes he could have done more.

Yea, I was so glad to read he got his job back! His employer should have been ashamed imo.
