OH - Three killed in Kirkersville nursing home shooting, POI dead, 12 May 2017

Brad Casto, a 15-year resident of Kirkersville who lives next to Pine Kirk, says the nursing home included people with mental disabilities as well as the elderly. For a shooter to get into the locked facility, Casto says a person would need someone to let them in or have access to the code.

No doubt the shooter will turn out to be an ex employee of the facility. Who was likely, recently let go.

I wonder if the chief was afraid of going to prison if he shot him. Or maybe the guy had an accomplice.

Why would the chief be afraid of going to prison? Am I missing something here?

The press conference is in this video. I'm just curious why a special agent for SouthEast OH would be requested to lead when Central OH/ Columbus seems much closer. I'm not sure which region Kirkersville falls under.

I agree. That's what I suspected immediately earlier in the thread. If residents recognized him, it makes sense that he was a past employee.

I saw that, but it doesn't make sense since he had him in sight. Unless, like I said, he had an accomplice.

Records show violent history for Ohio nursing home gunman

Court records show the man authorities say gunned down an Ohio village police chief and two nursing home employees had a history of violence, including against the nurse who was among the slain.
