seemed like foul play to me at first but the recent spat of posts (thanks to all those who have contributed their time, hard work, and ideas lately - wow!) have me back to considering he was lost and got "stuck" or "fell into" or "landed" or "ended up" somewhere he was unable to get himself out from and will be found one day right where he was.

But if we start with a theory we will simply see that theory and try to make all the known facts fit int0 that theory, so I am leery and still want to keep working at the foul play angle as well.

We simply need more facts to be released. I am making a list of other things I want to know but probably never will. Never know where brainstorming will lead.

Tyler, we are still here, still bumping for you, still on your side, buddy... where are you?...

It's sad because I remember reading on another forum a post by one of Tyler's employees and she said how great of a boss he was and how well liked. She said he always tried to make work as fun as possible for people there and would go out of his way to accommodate the employees with the schedule.
People at times forget that Tyler was a son and husband and a father. I think it's very possible that he was at the wrong place at the wrong time and all this other stuff means nothing at all.
I wonder what kind of things are going at the Costco pond and woods after dark. It's an ideal spot for shady activity. Large parking lot next to it and the cover of dark woods. Not the kind of place you would walk your dog at night

I'm new here and this is my first post, I haven't read everything, maybe someone has posted this before. When I was already in Google maps in the area where Tyler went missing (on my computer) and typed "Easton Suites" (and not "Suits"? I haven't listened to the recording), it took me to "Hampton Inn & Suites". I hardly use Maps on my phone, but it would show that it was "Hampton Inn & Suites" and not the Hilton, on the phone, I think. But maybe a drunk person wouldn't pay attention, I don't know. They also might look similar, the buildings, both red and white?

Posting here stresses me a bit, haha. I hope I'm not offending any rules.
That's an interesting find.

This is a reason why I can't let this go, until Tyler is found.

That's a good question. One would think that there are a lot of security cameras all over that area. Some of these malls and plazas even have 24 hour security. That area is just bustling during the day and at night is still fairly lite up so I would imagine most people who are into nefarious activities would be in other areas, but who knows?

Reading thru this thread, I see a few theories involving an accident, where someone hits Tyler with their car, then freaks out and moves the body.

I’ve seen this theory in other missing persons cases before. Just wondering if anyone has some examples of cases where this has verifiably happened.

Google is your friend. :) Talk about a crazy story.

Bodies are heavy. It would most likely require more than one person to move Tyler.
I agree. This is one of those rare cases that I truly believe that Occam's Razor is the most likely scenario.
IOW, the last person to see him alive. At least as far as we know, and that person was the male ‘friend’. My own personal opinion only.

I have been following this case since the beginning and just reading. Here are my two cents. I have a feeling there could have been some harmless flirting and innuendo that night between the friend and the wife. To them maybe it was a joke, to the husband (mix in alcohol) he could have been irritated and misconstrued their banter and something improper between the two. There are several things that could have happened to him, but the fact that he appeared mad, is bizarre that there is not an answer to that simple question. At least that I can see. Maybe I missed it between the threads but, was he ever located on CCTV leaving the hotel. Supposedly there was one of them leaving the Uber to the hotel then the story consistently changes from that point.

In Columbus that time of year, it’s cold do you really think he would walk that long without a coat. Or the cold air not give him sobering up, at least to the point of being coherent enough to at least avoid ponds, lakes etc? I do not buy into the getting hit by a car. There would be some kind of evidence left behind, I know not all the time but still. If he was as intoxicated as it seems, he would have been more pliable and difficulty to handle, not to mention his size.

There are just parts of this case that just doesn’t work for me. Frankly, I buy the first accounting of the evening to be closer to the truth. Reading comments and scenarios could be changing the information that us being reported now. KWIM.

It seems every so many pages here, the story kinda changes to what is being mentioned here as possibilities. When I watch true crime shows, they often say “the initial story is usually closer to the truth”. And I believe that. There is definitely something big missing and I have no clue what, but it’s something that would tie things together. It seems like the police have a good idea of what happened, they just can’t get enough to be certain. Their silence in many of the details leads me in that direction.

This is very disturbing that he would be in such an area that someone should have spotted something by now. The whole hotel timeline is what I have the biggest issue with. None of it makes sense. Hopefully he is located soon, it’s been long enough.

Sorry this is long but one more thing I question and I could have missed, was the friends car ever searched? Maybe he climbed inside and that is how he was not seen again? Or??? My mind is racing with the timeline and the friends sudden urge to leave the hotel. Could he have known his friend shouldn’t return to the hotel room because of the tension, drive him to his place 10 minutes later to help him sober up and try to reason with him and the victim take off and get lost?? Maybe that could explain no evidence maybe he was taken to another part of town? Just ideas trying to make the story work in my head.

I’m in agreement with you. I think it’s very likely he ended up at the Hampton, but he still imo made his way back a good ways and possibly ended up near Costco or further down to the construction area below Costco right across from the Hilton. This area was one of the places marked in red. Great job!
Something is just really off here.
At the presser LE comes up with a map based on digital forensics, but the signal ends at the Abbott parking lot but then minutes later two final calls but no digital trail. And he isn't on any footage along this route........

And serching behind Costco would be quite logical if he was at the Hampton and was on his way back to the Hilton. And the last call(s), in that case could very well have been when he indeed was walking through 'the woods' and could see the Hilton.

He can't be doing two different routes at the same time.

In the beginning they were walking around an outdoor mall checking things out for the next days shopping adventure. The guys stayed out and she went back to the hotel to charge her phone. The friend and husband returned to the hotel later. The husband got mad and stormed out , the friend went after him, returned again and said the husband was on the way. (Strange). The very, very first was they were all in the room at the hotel, the husband woke up and was mad and stormed out. It seems like every piece of evidence after that has changed the story. It’s so odd.

No, they were coming back from a bar in an Uber and the husband (Tyler) fell asleep in the car and when they got back to the hotel he woke up and was disoriented and didn't know were he was. There was an argument that no one really knows about what. Tyler and his friend never went back in the hotel. Tyler walked away and his friend went after him and came back without him. At some point his wife went up to her room to use the bathroom and plug her phone in to get a quick charge and came back outside. I think she said she was in the room for about 10 minutes. There's more but that is kind of a brief summary.
