<<Darrin Keith Elliot was convicted and sentenced to life in prison June 21, 2001, for shooting Vaughan, wrapping his body in trash bags and hiding it somewhere along the Deep Fork River.

Authorities searched for weeks for Vaughan's body, but never found it.

District Attorney Kay Christiansen said Mills was instrumental in helping hide Vaughan's body, alleging she drove Elliot for hours in search of a location to dump it.

"She drove the car knowing the body was in the trunk and had plenty of opportunity to call the police, but she was trying to keep him (Elliot) from being arrested," Christiansen said.>>
