when CRC stopped at Gainesville (and the gas station on the CCTV, which I'm 95% pretty sure is at the Red River Exxon in Gainesville) isn't confirmed and is part of what makes this so confusing, especially as OSBI specifically says it is from 8/5. Was she driving and stopped just after midnight on 8/5? It's a couple of hours away from her last known area of Pattonville at 7 pm on 8/5.

Authorities said 33-year-old Caitlyn Rose Case left Houma, Louisiana en route to Colorado on
August 4
Investigators said they have determined that her last known location was in the Bogata, Texas area on August 5 at approximately 5:00 p.m. Case was said to be going northbound on Highway 71 towards Paris, Texas.
Shortly after 7 p.m. on August 5, her cellphones registered on cell towers at Pattonville, Texas, and a tower located south of Paris.
Not long after, the car is believed to have traveled north in an unknown path headed to Oklahoma. After entering Oklahoma on Highway 271, the vehicle then turned east on Highway 109 south of Grant, Oklahoma
At this point in the investigation there is concern that someone other than Case was in control of the vehicle," the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said in a news release. "It is believed that an attempt was made to deposit the vehicle in the Kiamichi River to hide its location during the late-night hours of August 5, 2022. It is not believed at this time that Case physically entered Oklahoma."
Case's last contact with family members was on August 5. Her car, a black GMC Envoy with Louisiana plates 957FDO, was found on the banks of the Kiamichi River south of Fort Towson the night of August 12.

Case is described by authorities as being 5-foot-5 and 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black spaghetti strap style top, light blue jeans, and red tennis shoes.

Anyone with information on her disappearance is asked to call the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation at 800-522-8017.

I believe at one of those convenience store some body was able to make there way into the car where by force or when she walked back into the store.Surveillance shows her walking back to the car with her left arm appearing to be moving upward as if she were getting ready to get into the car , also her window appears to be down and
All of that endless riding around was the perpetrator trying to figure out what to do with the car.

Let's say police have on CCTV at a gas station that some unknown person entered her car. Do you think they'd release that info the public and/or release an image of that person? I'm just curious what other info they have since they say they believe she did not physically enter Oklahoma. Is it because they have footage showing another person surreptitiously entering her car unbeknownst to her? And if so, would it be typical that the public would not know that info? Just some questions I've been thinking about.

It is my opinion that someone got in her car. But where it happened, I'm not sure. If, and I say if this photo is from a stop in Gainesville, and after doing relentless searches all over in areas she is known to have stopped per OSBI and LEO'S, what matches most is definitely the ExxonMobil on the east side of I 35 heading North through Gainesville. The rock column, and the background and the blue trash receptacles with windshield cleaner. I've been to this ExxonMobil. If I was going to Colorado on the route, I'd then make a left on 82 west but instead she turned right. I'm from Sherman but now live out from Abilene. But I've made that drive countless times through Gainesville to Sherman and I remember when it was built. My husband and I have driven all over Texas and Southern okla.so I'm familiar with all the roads and many stops. My old stomping grounds.
Is it possible that she picked someone up over near Bogata? And they were already in the car with her? Why did a 15 minute drive toward Pattonville from where she pinged in Bogata take 2 hours to ping around Pattonville south of Paris? Could this be why whoever may have been in cobtrol of her carbwent back east, to the area they are familiar with? She pinged in Bogata at 5pm and around Pattonville around 7pm. We know through OSBI and LEOs in Texas that she pinged in Lewisville, Gainesville, then turned back east to Paris. That's why I wonder about that 2nd ping in Pattonville. Because that drive can be made from Bogata to Lewisville to Gainesville and then back to Paris using 82 east coming back in 4ish hours depending on traffic, and it would have been past rush-hour when she hit those areas. I drive a lot and evidently she has too because they said she has made this drive many times. Then she, or rather her 2 cell phones in her car, definitely could have pinged around Paris around 9ish give or take a few and then the car headed around that loop and on into Oklahoma. Many don't know how to pronounce Kiamichi I noticed on YouTube videos about her. It's Kī (long i) ă (like uh) mì (like me) chi (like che).
I wonder if somewhere between Gainesville and Paris via 82 that she didn't disappear since OSBI doesn't think she ever went into Oklahoma.? Just north of Gainesville, 15 minutes, is The huge Winstar Casino in Thackerville, Okla too. Personally, I wouldn't drive up through that area alone. Sparsely populated once over the Red River. Anyway just my thoughts. I honestly have no idea.

Larger font by me. Is this when she was at the gas station on the photo we have seen? Its dark outside and another Websleuther posted that it gets dark around 6pm there. So could the time in the photo be around the time I quoted above? Just trying to make sense. I could be totally off but my observation of the photo.

It would not have been dark at 7 p.m. in Pattonville on 8/5/22. The sun set at 8:17 p.m. Sunrise and sunset times in Pattonville, August 2022

It doesn't get dark around 6 pm in North Texas until around the time change in November. During her disappearance, it was just getting dark really closer to 9 pm. Summertime.

Thanks that makes it clearer. I think a Websleuther also said this, I just didn't recall when I posted. So then if this photo was on the 5th it would be after 9pm. If not then the photo would be on the 4th after dark.

I am starting to think this didn't happen during one of her stops at a convenience store/gas station... but somewhere along her route either on or right next to the highway.
IMO - This means whoever somehow took control of her and her vehicle was:
a) Somebody she encountered at a rest area
-OR-
b) Somebody impersonating a police officer (or perhaps wasn't impersonating... coulda been a cop).

A cop doesn't seem plausable because of the CCTV footage they have in their vehicles and if they turn it off they would have to explain why. But everyhing else IMO that you posted is possible and that is so extremely chilling!

Following up on my prior post... Just did a quick search for "impersonating a police officer" Texas and narrowed results to within the past year. One of the first results to pop up was this article from June 2, 2022:

Iowa Park Police Department warns of man impersonating officer

Iowa Park is a suburb of Wichita Falls... a little over an hour away from Gainsville.

Not saying this particular impersonator has anything to do with her disappearance... but the fact is that this type thing has happened (somewhat recently) not too far away.

A little more detail on this same individual from a Texoma News Source.

I just want to mention possible scenarios of what could have occurred when Caitlyn encountered someone(s) at the time of being separated from her vehicle. This is a lot of speculation on my part:

Could she have been followed, and someone took advantage of a moment either at a convenience store or on the side of the road? Maybe someone hit on her/made a pass and she rejected them, making them angry.

Could it have been a road rage issue? The speed limit goes between 45-75 along the stretch between Bogata and Paris. Since she was lost maybe someone became aggravated she wasn’t going as fast as she should, maybe they forced her to pull over or waited until she stopped to confront her.

Could she have pulled into some type of driveway where someone was outside and an encounter happened? OSBI hasn’t stated they’ve seen her on camera with anyone else so I’m imagining where an event could occur off camera.

Did someone impersonate a police officer and pull her over? I’m not ruling this one out because it definitely happens. If it was an actual police officer, you would think there would be camera footage or some sort of documentation. But if someone was impersonating an officer and she believed them, that person could use it to their advantage and direct her to do things a normal citizen might not get away with.

Could she have encountered someone who wanted a ride? Maybe someone happened to be in Bogata and told her they could ride with her to help her with directions, if she could drive them where they needed to go. Maybe the person had ulterior motives and trouble happened down the road.

Did someone sneak into her vehicle while she wasn’t paying attention? Maybe, it just seems odd someone would ride in the back and ultimately ditch the vehicle where it was found. What if she went a different direction with them secretly in the vehicle and got far away from where they knew where they were? A lot of people point out that the area in Frogville where her vehicle was found isn’t a place that a lot of people are familiar with, implying they were probably local.

Some details I’ve heard make me wonder if she was possibly drugged or held at gunpoint. I’m having a hard time imagining her going with someone in a different vehicle on her own volition.

Armchair63, there are only 2 gas stations in Bagota. Blink and you miss them. They don't match the pic osbi has posted.
I'm trying to be more careful too. Even though my screenshot in one post was clearly from the Oklahoma OSBI Fscebook site and the same picture that has already been posted on this site by several others, I didn't realize I still had to double up and post another link to back it up. It was an official statement from OSBI about Case's various locations as her car traveled in Texas. I clearly understand not to post any pics from any non law enforcement fb pages unless someone has already been deemed a POI or suspect. I did go back an reread the rules because at first I did make that mistake on another post. I will try to be more careful, or just not comment and just read.

This just hits so close to home it's hard not to comment.especially when I know this entire area so well and those in other states do not, so I can offer info they cant.
