Based on the location stated the individual who found the remains was in "the wooded area south of Highway 3 and the Indian Nation Turnpike when the remains were located." which appears it would be in this area:.
Not far from Ft Towson/Hugo area.
I hope; I hope not.
I'm from Houma as well but have been living in Lafayette, Louisiana for the past two years. However I still see all the news articles and follow most all of Houma anything, and have never heard of this either until now. That concerns me greatly.Welcome to WS! I’m from North Louisiana, but have family that live in Houma.
I texted my cousin who is from that area, and asked if she was familiar with this case. She had no idea about it until I told her! Is it not circulating in the news down there? I was hoping it would starta to gain attention, but now I’m not so sure!
I looked around a bit on facebook and found unsupported posts by family, but no official updates. Seems somewhat weird that there's no press in this area asking for tips on her.Hoping for an update on Caitlyn. I just looked and her case is still in NamUs.

Missing Person / NamUs #MP94363
View NamUs missing person case MP94363 for Caitlyn Rose Case missing from Paris, Texas. Date of last contact: Aug 05, 2022. NCMEC case number: --.namus.nij.ojp.gov
So, I drive a TON, usually solo and with a horse trailer or 37' RV, and maybe this makes me more experienced or aware than the average woman in her 30s. Perhaps that invalidates what I'm about to say, but I just find her level of disorientation hard to believe when she had a phone that had service enough to record her location to Google and call her dad. She was turning around in people's driveways, bouncing around far from the quickest route and apparently calling her dad for help. This seems an unlikely state for someone who was confident enough to drive from extreme south Louisiana to Colorado. I feel like there has to be another mental, physical, or chemical reason that she was so disoriented.A website has recently been established seeking info about the disappearance of Caitlyn. Her mother Peggy gives many new details (IMO not very coherently, but that's for another post).
See what you think:
IMO, it is still odd that she was in Gainesville on a path north to her destination in Colorado then is talking to her father from south of Paris before all contact is lost.
It is very odd. I think you might be onto something. But if so, evidence supporting it would be needed. So, I drive a TON, usually solo and with a horse trailer or 37' RV, and maybe this makes me more experienced or aware than the average woman in her 30s. I'm actually reminded of Sheridan Wahl, who went on a sudden trip to Myrtle Beach, made many curious decisions and then ended up at the base of a tower dead from blunt force trauma. Her decisions that day included abandoning her car, accepting a ride from a strange man, and walking down the middle of a busy highway. Because of this nearly everyone on WS thought she was a victim of foul play. When a comprehensive report was finally published months after she was found deceased, the official account included the fact that her mother noted Sheridan had been "losing track of time" for weeks, acted "invincible" on the phone to her father, and told the man who gave her a ride she could talk to the radio, had walked through fire and “was trying to save the world.” There was even video of her walking alone to the tower where she was later found. (EXCLUSIVE: SLED documents detail circumstances around Sheridan Wahl’s disappearance, death)
This long story to say, often pertinent information is not released until after the missing person is found, if it's released at all. I think we're missing significant info that speaks to mental state, and without it, there's not much sleuthing that can be done. I do think that Caitlyn will be found in relatively close proximity to her car. This may not happen for years if the property her car was found on isn't searched. At this point, it's a waiting game, and I feel for her family.
I also don't know that foul play can be ruled out in this case. I just think there likely isn't a clear "she did A because of B and C" in this case, which is similar to Sheridan's case.It is very odd. I think you might be onto something. But if so, evidence supporting it would be needed.
OSBI says they think her car was traveling without her when it left Bogata. I wonder what led them to that conclusion & whether it is conjecture or they have evidence to support that claim?
The family being unhappy with OSBI is interesting too. I wonder what her father believes happened? He did talk with her not too long before she went silent.

The authorities are not being helpful at all, something is going on & her dad is gonna get to the bottom of it I can promise u that, no matter how long it takesIt is very odd. I think you might be onto something. But if so, evidence supporting it would be needed.

The thing was there were two vehicles seen one or maybe both was/were apparently driving at a highspeed. Could it be the perp/s put her vehicle on auto cruise and let it drive into the water then leaving quickly but her vehicle got caught up in those trees and luckily wasn't further into the water as planned so it drifted far thus destroying evidence? I do wonder why LE wasn't called as it seems the property was trespassed (was the gate not in view). Its possible that the perps broke the lock on the gate. Also if the property was trespassed why didn't the owner look to see if anything was unusual on their property. I know I would. If her vehicle had successfully drifted into the water of the river people may think she she drove into the water somewhere either by intention or had an accident. I wonder why the property owner didn't allow the search dogs onto the property? It would show cooperation. Although if her vehicle was stuck in the trees then perhaps and was most probably unaware of the situation then its possible the property owner was afraid of the perp/s since the owner occupied the property and was afraid for safety reasons and refused. Not just afraid but terrified. MOO. I wonder if there was a pattern to the lock being open some nights and others not? Then the perp/s may know when it was unlocked. MOO.So, I drive a TON, usually solo and with a horse trailer or 37' RV, and maybe this makes me more experienced or aware than the average woman in her 30s.
