The suspect in the case has not been identified. However, witnesses told police he was a tall, white male with short straight hair. He was reportedly wearing tight-fitting jeans.

Police said he was seen pulling the victim into a silver PT Cruiser with tinted windows at 3 p.m. on the 800 block of NW "H" Street.

================================================================================

The most recent police reports say 5 pm. I wonder how the 2 hour discrepancy occurred. Who witnessed the abduction?

ETA;; I swear there was just a post here with an article stating 5 pm. It went poof. I am so confused.

Please review the photo of the missing child, L S.

The amber alert went out at 8;40 pm. The original articles say she was abducted at 3 pm. Why so long between the AA and the kidnapping?

Is it said what time she was reported missing? I know it says she was abducted around 3 but it doesn't say when everything else happened. I see that LE says that she was playing at a friend's house and did not return home. And then it says that she was pulled into the car but it doesn't if it was at the friends house. I am wondering if there are any time gaps from when she was last seen to her being reported missing.

I am wondering if there are any time gaps from when she was last seen to her being reported missing.

I am wondering if maybe she left the friend's house, saying she was going back home. Maybe that is the 3 pm 'last seen' time that we originally saw reported. Then when she didn't arrive home Mom went looking, at 5 maybe, and then heard about a child seen being put into a car?

I don't know. The varying times are confusing. And the AA went out at 8:40. So it took awhile to convince LE apparently. What a mess.

We had a thing here in LA area where a few people saw a 13 yr old girl being forced into an SUV by two teen boys. They had a partial plate number. No one was reported missing but it was broadcast on news.

Next day they found out the the girl was 'stomping away' from home, angry. Said on her phone to MOm that she was running away. Mom had big brother go get her and bring her home. [My son is 4 yrs older than my daughter and I have done same thing a few times over the years. ]

Anyway, wondering if maybe the witnesses to the abduction were unsure if it was really an abduction or a kid that did not want to go home, kind of thing. But then when Mom goes looking for her girl that never returned home, they realized what it was?

There's something screwy going on here.

BTW, there are photos of her online with glasses.

So the latest poster is back to the 3 pm time as the abduction.

I bet she left her friends house at 3 to head home. And then some one who did not know her saw her being put into a car. And maybe they didnt know at first that it was an abduction.

Then later, Mom goes looking for her, and they figure out that she was seen walking home, and getting into the kidnappers silver car.

But why did the Amber Alert take until 8:40 pm? That is heartbreaking.

The only thing I can think of is the mom didn't know what time Lacy left her friends house. When she didn't come home by dark, the mom went searching and called police. Police then came, canvassed the neighborhood and found a witness who saw a young girl matching her description being put in the car. They then issued the alert.

That's the only scenario that makes sense for me in terms of the time discrepancies.

That makes sense Kaylynn. Also might be why the discrepancy in clothing. Maybe Mom didnt know she had changed her clothes either.

I wonder who took her to her friends. Or did she walk there? Maybe someone was watching from the start?

The mom says she found the costume at home, that is the discrepancy in the clothes. The clothes that they are saying she is wearing really doesn't match what mom is saying at all..I feel there is more to this story..

It looks like the mom is a waitress, which means it is possible she was working Saturday afternoon when Lacy went to her friends house. Therefore, she may have given police a description of the last outfit she saw L in before realizing she had changed out of it.

It is sounding more and more like the mom was not home when L left.

Also I can't find anything on L's dad. If they are not together, are their any custody issues? Where does he live?

As for siblings that someone mentioned earlier, it looks like her siblings are young (under middle school age) so I think we can rule that out.

I'm curious about the dad though, and also any extended family or boyfriends of the mom, etc.

I know she said she found it at home. But WHY would she think she was wearing a Halloween Dress in November unless she had seen her wearing it at some point that day? So if it was at home, then L changed before going to her friends and apparently MOm did not know. So who was with L before she went to her friends? Mom wasn't or she'd know she was not wesaring a frilly Halloween dress up dress.

If my above scenario regarding the time delay is accurate, then I would assume her getting into the car didn't spark anything out of the ordinary with whoever the witness was that saw it. Otherwise that witness would have called police at 3, I would think.

So that leads me to believe she either knew the person or was lured over to the car.
