While investigators initially believed that Wilson was a victim, within a day their investigation led them to believe that she was a willing participant in the alleged abuse. They claimed that texts revealed that the couple planned and collaborated in the torture.
Investigators noted that they saw "severe bruising, contusions and blooding whelps on the child's body" as well as "burn marks under the child's neck from the shock collar prongs.” The toddler "sat emotionless and seemed as if she was in a total state of shock" when the investigators spoke to her, according to the charging documents.

So, I'm a bit confused about this case.
I have connections to the "mom" through my sister and mother, as Wilson is my sister's best friend. I've known her for many years, but have few memorable interactions with her.
Not really trying to give any kind of "insider info" but after the event, I've held quite a bit of resentment towards Wilson.
So Wilson plead No Contest, and rejected the plea deal from what I understand, correct?
I overheard a video call between Wilson's sister, my sister, and my mother last week on the 22nd, and she seemed to be implying that she needed to get everyone that still supported her to come and say things like "That she would never do such things and is a good parent" and the such in January.
I held my tongue, but I'm 100% against her as I know her and had my interactions with her and her friends, and want to know exactly what this kind of action could be, and whether it could save her from being sentenced justly.
I'm just trying to fully understand her situation and I don't know enough about court proceedings to be able to decipher all the information given here.
Sorry if this isn't allowed, or if I sound unintelligent, but I have been following this case since it happened, and would like more understanding, because I can't talk to my family about it, because they are all for Wilson, and plan to attest to her "innocence".

I hope you are not being pressured into participating in her “innocence” strategy.
She has admitted to investigators that she not only participated in the abuse, on numerous occasions she left the baby home alone with that monster.
In my opinion, a few letters and testimony from friends and family won’t make much difference in the outcome. Her family and her lawyers are just trying to get her the most lenient sentence possible.

Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, or Sexual Abuse of Child - Penalties - Definitions
Facing 5 counts. 21 O.S. 843.5(A)
A. Any person who shall willfully or maliciously engage in child abuse, as defined in this section, shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment in the custody of the Department of Corrections not exceeding life imprisonment, or by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one (1) year, or by a fine of not less than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) nor more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), or both such fine and imprisonment.

A. If two or more persons conspire, either:
1. To commit any crime; or
2. Falsely and maliciously to indict another for any crime, or to procure another to be charged or arrested for any crime; or
3. Falsely to move or maintain any suit, action or proceeding; or
4. To cheat and defraud any person of any property by any means which are in themselves criminal, or by any means which, if executed, would amount to a cheat or to obtaining money or property by false pretenses; or,
5. To commit any act injurious to the public health, to public morals, or to trade or commerce, or for the perversion or obstruction of justice or the due administration of the laws, they are guilty of a conspiracy.
B. Except in cases where a different punishment is prescribed by law the punishment for conspiracy shall be a misdemeanor unless the conspiracy is to commit a felony.
C. Conspiracy to commit a felony shall be a felony and is punishable by payment of a fine not exceeding Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), or by imprisonment in the State Penitentiary for a period not exceeding ten (10) years, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
I have not obtained any court documents regarding this case but they are available at the County Clerks Office for a fee.

9/28/22: Rogers County District Attorney Matt Ballard said after considering evidence & the different criteria to claim Indian status, the court determined Pennington failed to establish Indian status. Along with not being a tribal member when the alleged crime occurred, the court’s ruling stated Pennington’s interest in the German Nazi Regime outweighed his efforts to formalize his tribal membership. McGrit hearing on 10/21/22.
